Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. Hi :) I was lucky enough to get on-campus accommodation( was a major relief!) in the river apartment block. Just wondering did anyone else get there? Or does anyone know what they're like? :D

I'm in River again this year, for the 3rd time and I've to say overall the place is really nice.. I've stayed in Rye before too, which was grand but it's no River like!

    What building'd you get?
    :D

Well, my application for on campus accommodation didn't go through. So, I am opened to suggestions. Anyone know about anyone looking for a roommate? Well, preferably anyone who's looking for someone to rent a single? :-) I'm a 25 old guy, fairly neat and am looking for accommodation for the first semester only. Erasmus law student and such.

    Cheers :-)

Unfortunately I don't know about anyone who's searching for a roommate, but I would be interested in renting a flat togehter. I'm also coming for the first Semester only. I'm a 22 years old Austrian and study literature.

That's sounds good. :-) I'm about to start looking at lists and advertisements today.

And I've just found a closed group on facebook for erasmus students for this year :-) If you're interested, I can give you the link.

Do you mean this Group? https://www.facebook.com/groups/559093874115886/ Let's talk on Facebook about it! :)

Guys, today I finally found a house in Maynooth which is great and near everything, its is 90 euro a month without bills, but later today I got an email saying I got a place on campus. I dunno what to do because I paid a 500 euro deposit on the house. At the beginning I wanted nothing but campus but seeing as I didn't get it at the start, I started looking around for a house and the idea warmed to me esp when I found a great housemate to live with, now I'm in a dilemma because I dunno which would be the best to take.
    HELP !

The house is very close to the college, nightclubs and bars and supermac's? :P

If I were in your place, I'd stick with the house. Close to everything and you get to enjoy the privacy and peace of not being in a dorm.

€90 a MONTH??? Surely you mean a week? Personally I think house sounds better for independence, nice to have the choice!

I'd agree with most that a house might be better but at the same time 90 is quite expensive for a house. Campus would actually be cheaper.

It's up to you. You sound quite happy with the house and it sounds pretty good to me.Is it a house or digs and are you sharing a room? (I can't remember if that was you or someone else?)

Hey, I'm in desperate need of a room, so if you do decide to take campus I would really really appreciate if you could PM me the landlords details and I would fill the space:) I'm a second year student and lived in a house last year and it was brilliant, have heard great things about campus too though and its so convenient for everything:)It's a tough decision!

Anyone that needs a room for orientation week I have a room available for just that week at 75e. Have a masters student taking it for the net two weeks before they can get moved into campus and have the same lad as last week then from the 22nd.
So it is available from 15th to 22nd Sept. Might be handy for someone who can't get moved in until a certain date or someone who isn't sorted and still looking at that time.

Hey, does anyone here have any experiences with the on campus accommodation!? Just wondering what it's like to live there?? First year moving up soon, put down river as first preference but not sure was it a good idea??? How many people are in an apartment!? Is there any way ending up sharing a room in some set of apartments!??

I'm heading into first year too,and put down River. Ended up getting a twin room. Kinda nervous about sharing a room but there's many people who didn't get any accommodation, so can't really complain!

I got a single in the village apts luckily enough, shared before in student accommodation and the lack of privacy is terrible, although I did get on sound with him. Would refuse my place of it was a twin, bit old for sharing too.

Hi guys, I am looking for a house mate. I'm a 4th year female student, so I'd be preferably looking for someone similar. It's a double bedroom ensuite in Moglare Hall. The apartment is nice (no one else living here apart from myself), about 15 min walk to college. More info on priv if someone is interested.

Hey guys, I got self catering in Park Rail, wondering if anybody knows the story is with Self Catering, like are we allowed to have visitors stay the night, is there a certain time to be back home by etc?
I forgot to ask when viewing! Thanks

I've been checking daft everyday and am glad to say those two houses in Dowdstown or wherever are finally gone.

I'm waiting for a house that doesn't say "Not suitable for students" :/

Finding a place is near impossible and asking here probably won't help for now.

Good luck in biomedical science though, I'm in third year now and it's a good course.
