I just checked my gamestop receipt for GTA 5 that I paid off completely months ago, and I was charged €70. Anyone else get that? I assume ill get refunded the tenner on release since its less than €60 on their website.

If spoilers are surfacing (not sure how?!) can we have a spoiler thread at some point in the near future that I can avoid?

I enjoy flicking through here and reading the thread but don't enjoy spoilers at all.

Alternatively, if we can't have a spoiler thread; if someone does post a spoiler, can CMPunked get me their address and I'll take it from there? :cool:

Just bought GTA IV on the PSN store. I've never used cheats in GTA (I know, freak!) but can anyone tell me if I spawn a Banshee and some guns, will it mess up the save file? I remember something like that on the old games or does it just affect your 100% completion?

Not too sure about cheating on the PS version, but I know the on the Xbox it stops you getting certain achievements and turns off auto save. You could always start a new save and go mad.

The logistics of multiple spoiler thread/threads to be set up before release date are being discussed by penn and myself at the moment.
We're trying to figure out the most fair way for people to post from every angle.

If you lads have any suggestions feel free to throw them at us, this is your forum, afterall.

As far as I know, cheating doesn't mess up the save at all like it did in SA. (I think the story with SA was that if you activated one cheat it would mess up the Madd Dogg mission and he would jump before you could possibly get to him)

It does disable the achievements for surviving a 6-Star wanted level for 5 minutes and for escaping a 4-star wanted level.

My fiend used so many cheats, that once he stated the game. He walk out the door and bam, it frose, black screen. So all he could really do was walk around the safe house when the game loads.

Cheating also stops you achieving 100 % I think in San Andreas. Actually that's an interesting topic maybe. How many GTA games have you gotten 100% in? Myself was 3, vice city and San Andreas. Vice City was the easiest by a mile far as I remember. never quite got round to 4, those poxy pigeons.

Could you not just limit this thread to official GTA releases/discussions on same, and a seperate thread where anything goes- leaks/internet rumours/youtube videos/random speculation from internet sites etc. That way those who don't want to risk any form of unofficial spoilers can just stick to this thread, and those who want more are free to discuss same without offending others? Of course Boards rules re. posting links to anything illegal/hacked downloads of the game would apply etc. although you or Penn(as mods) would still need to read it/expose yourself to spoilers you might not of wanted. Up to you both really how it'd work though.

I really don't like that the PS3 hacking community have been able to pre-download the biggest game to come out on the console a full 3 weeks before it is released. Something will be leaked in the next few days. Even if it's just a cut-scene movie or some music. It could have been avoided easily.

Edit: I see the PS3 XMB music is on youtube already.

You'd wonder do R* actually want it to be hacked... Maybe they're so confident in how good the game is they want the hackers to create the hype for them by releasing gameplay and freaking out about it?

I really can't see why else they'd let people download it so early, there's no real benefit...

I have no idea why everyone is fussing over pc/ps4/xbox 1. Obviously they're going to release them at some point. If they announced it now, less people would buy current gen consoles = less profit. If people thought that GTA V was only available for current gen consoles, then it would increase console sales too = hence the ps3 gta v bundle. It would also mean that some people would purchase the game twice, once for ps3, and then again later down the road for ps4. It was a very strategic decision on rockstars part. That's why there's been no mention of pc/xbox1/ps4.

The fact the rockstar even went down the route of special/collectors editions is more than enough proof that GTA V will be released for pc/xbox1/ps4. It's clear that they're after the money, and this is best way to completely milk gta.

All these petitions and crap are the biggest load of bull I've ever heard of.
