Might aswell get this going again while people are tinkering with their teams.

I present to you Hat-Ricky FC version 1.0

Guaranteed to change at least 72 times between now and August 18th. I'll need to have a better look at this new BP system as I think it may favour defenders more, in which case I may need to bring in the likes of Baines/Vertonghen/Johnson and go with a 4-4-2 over last year's favoured 3-5-2.

Berbatov, RVW, Coleman and Bellamy are the value so far, with Dikgacoi the best £4.5m midfielder I can see. I really want to keep Kagawa in there but i can only do that if he's nailed on as a starter this season. Azpi is in there based on Chelsea having a double or triple GW. If this is the case I'll bring in a third Chelsea player.

Ivan will probably play instead of azpi, and bale is injured, you did quite well last season didn you

Am I mad to consider going with 3-5-2 formation

    Cech
    Koscelny coleman toure (turner garrido)
    Hazard walcott mirallas paulinho michu
    Giroud bony (anelka )

Anelka won't have many more favourable fixtures than today, home debut against a poor team.
Why are you doubling up on Norwich defenders if you don't trust them at home to Everton?
Besides that you're team looks fine in 3-5-2, BUT, I'd definitely play Anelka today of all days, hat trick written all over it, he did it against Cork city after all:p

I've gone for Mertesacker. I think he's more of a goal threat.

Cole probably a safer choice but I have fond memories of Ivanovic from gameweek 1 last year. More likely to get attacking points. I'd probably gamble on Ivan.

    My team:

    Cech (Boruc)
    Mert Turner(nor) Ward (Yanga-Mbiwa, Chester)
    Hazard(v) Lallana Walcott Mirallas (Grandin)
    Dzeko RVP Lukaku(c)

that was the first post in the thread posted over a month ago, before there was talk of bale leaving.

Wow that's ridiculously generous. There's absolutely no need for it we're all here for mutual benefit and a bit of fun. I'd feel bad about taking the money if I were lucky enough to win :pac:

You can get yourself a mickey turner jersey if you win!

Very good side, well starting 11 anyway... Will Saldado hit he ground running though? Maybe that money could be better spent elsewhere??

Looks good to me, but no Utd players?
I always and try and include at least 1 player from utd, city, Chelsea, arsenal, spurs and pool

    I haven't got a utd player either.

Obviously RvP will come in at some stage soon but I'm waiting to see how Moyes sets up his team

2 unproven strikers in prem, bit dodge, maybe swap one of them for proven prem player..

Is Routledge a likely Swansea starter

Thats far from always feasible though and at the moment the only player worth having from UTD is RVP and his price tag is painfully high! I have been battling with myself whether 1 player scoring well most weeks is worth having 3 player who may only score 2 or 3 most weeks in my team to accommodate him is worth it, so far ive decided not to but that could change by the international break!

    Any thought lads??

First one is better. Dzeko not nailed on and Taylor may not start. Maybe Ben Turner instead of McNaughton?

Maybe the first, benteke having a DGW

Same here. There's so much value in Utd's midfield once it settles, but for the near future everyone is playing for a first team place and there will be too much rotation to make anyone a worthwhile FF investment.

Cheers... Is Ben Turner first choice when everyone fit?

    Thanks

Trying to get City and Spurs players into my attack if possible

For Spurs Soldado is the only one who jumps out at me.
For City I'm just not sure who will start in attack - I don't buy that Dzeko will start to be honest and Negredo was Pellegrini's #1 choice so I reckon he is a nailed-on starter.

I'm not 100% happy. The DGW/Doubts over who will start for Chelsea has been messing with my head. Not overly happy with no United either, but I'm expecting a slow start from them, whereas Arsenal, Liverpool, Spurs, City and Chelsea all have decent fixtures.

I feel something serious has been overlooked by everyone when deciding on their team. We all analyse the goal, assist, bonus point, clean sheet potential of each player. But what about one vital factor: beauty.

How good looking is your team?

I got my girlfriend to rate how good looking my team is, out of 10, and the results were pretty interesting.

    Mignolet - 4

    Mertesacker - 6
    Coleman - 7
    Vlaar- 8

    Walcott - 6
    Hazard - 8
    Mirallas - 6
    Coutinho - 4

    Benteke - 3
    Soldado - 9
    Dzeko - 1

    Boruc - 6
    Turner - 1
    Koren - 3
    Ward - 3

So that's an average of 5 per player. I think I've got some work to do.
But I'm pretty happy with my defence - first choice back 3 is apparently a good looking set of lads. Surprise of the team was definitely Ron Vlaar.

Forwards are a mixed bunch. Soldado with a very impressive 9. Dzeko on the other hand...well, might need to rethink his position in the team.

The overall score is definitely dragged down by the bench. I'm sure Mr. Prodston will be particularly crushed by Mickey Turners score. My explanation of 'But he's Mickey Turner' got only a blank stare in return.

Well this is a particular low for the Mickey Turner appreciation society :(

    Appreciate any feedback here lads.

A little uncertainty with your strike force.. 2 of them not guaranteed to start and 1 new to prem... Also, Davis is not starter, Boruc is, but he is just bench warmer for you and ya prob didn't have 0.5 to spare... Maybe go Saldado to Benteke and Davis to Boruc
