I think you are right. This DGW is clouding my decisions. If there were no DGW I would be sorted days ago.

I had those exact forwards until recently. I dumped Lukaku for Soldado. I just feel Soldado is a better long term option, so I'm just going ingore the DGW.

i have him in at the moment, but I may go to a City defender. the reason being, Chelsea have 2 quick games (JT may not play both), then Utd, then a break.

City have a run of good fixtures.

i'm probably just talking myself out of the sensible enough choice of JT, but you know how it is before a Saturday. i'm just going to go with my own advice I think, go with my gut, and keep JT in the team.

Yeah, I don't have him. At one point I had 1.5m spare, so could have easily upgraded one of my 4.5 defender to him, but I'm not sure if it's worth it.

Having him in there means having to transfer him out before GW3, unless you are prepared to have a 6.0 defender sitting on the bench, which I'm not.

Having said all this, I am still worried that he could keep 2 clean sheets and grab a goal!

Terry is my dgw luxury treat to myself, even if he only plays 90 mins you've gotta give him a decent chance of a clean sheet and a goal, ideal situation he plays both games two cleanies, one goal, I won't be keeping him for long.

Don't get the JT love on this forum, he's been pretty poor the last couple of seasons, Ivanovic or Luiz much more of a goal threat i.m.o.

Does anyone think Morrison from west Ham will play tomorrow. West Ham play newly promoted side and Morrison was impressive pre-season but the match preview says it is possible he will feature. i don't care so much if he doesn't play but the last thing I want is for him to come on for 15 minutes while i have someone else benched who will play the full match.

I would say you are wrong there, surely Terry's goal to games ratio is much higher?

BOOM!

All done and dusted, very happy with my team. One or two punts but hey you don't win anythin without taking some risks. Lukaku(just for GW1) and Dzeko(play it by ear) are short-termers. Will probably get the BEAST (Benteke) in at some stage and then a 6-7M striker. But again play it by ear. You have to think on your feet in this game. Now to join some leagues!

Over his career probably, but in the last couple of seasons i don't recall him doing a whole lot. He may only start one of the two games anyway (with United game the following weekend). I had Ivanovic in briefly(if i was going with any i'd go with him) but changed out for Zabaleta. Means i won't have to take a points hit before GW2 with transfers, and City home to Newcastle is a nice chance of CS anyway

I was talking about last year, I remember Terry scoring in his comeback against Liverpool before going off injured, he also had a double late in the year, he's always a scoring threat really,

After all my talk I've just transferred Terry out for Ivanovic:o, hadn't factored in the Utd match, I think Terry will play in that one so absolutely no chance of a dgw for him right? Good chance for Ivanovic?

Would you not just go for Cole then maybe? Or is Ivanovic as nailed on as people say. I could see him missing the Villa game if they wanted to give Azpil or Luiz a run out. It hurts my head which is moreso why I've backed away from them.

I may end up going for Cole still but as you know he offers so little in attack that I couldn't be putting up with him for that money, I'd imagine Mickey T had more attacking points last year???
Terry is my favourite but I can afford the .5m extra for Ivan so I'm on him at the moment.

Having some good options on your bench is a must in my opinion.

They automatically substitute in if one of your players doesn't play and they let you rotate players from week-to-week to suit the fixture list.

Taking a chance on Bony (only one I'm not sure of)

Any opinions on this team?

Only lowton and vlaar quaranted IMO. Baker Clark and Kore going for the other CB spot while Bennent will fight it out with Luna for the LB spot

can't decide between these 2 teams. who will outscore who for GW1(not interested in long term)? A or B

A (will olsson get a CS? will anelka knock in a goal?)

B (question marks over lukaku starting both games. will snordgrass pick up points?)
