I have Benteke for the DGW - Willing to take the risk

If his team loses, does he lose points also? Or does he just not gain any?

I have Arsenal and Chelsea defender because they kept a lot of clean sheets last year.

The only decision in my team I am debating is whether to go with Dzeko or Lambert? Not just for Week 1 but for the 1st few weeks.

Currently, Lambert has the jersey & fear of squad rotation with Dzeko has me picking Lambert.

Dzeko i'd say. City first 3 fixtures very nice. Can easily be swapped out anyway. Just think he's nailed on to start given his form

I see Dzeko and Negredo being the main choices, but yes there will definitely be plenty of rotation. Lambert is a definite in his team. As is The Wolf. Aspas. Berba. Altidore.

    Plenty of choices.. :p

benteke wont be playing arsenal and chelsea every gameweek and these people are picking a team not just with gw1 in mind.

Ok, don't take this the wrong way but the key to doing well in FPL is knowing how points are scored or deducted.
Have a good read of the below...it is worth taking the time.

    http://fantasy.premierleague.com/rules/

For playing up to 60 minutes 1
For playing 60 minutes or more 2
For each goal scored by a goalkeeper or defender 6
For each goal scored by a midfielder 5
For each goal scored by a forward 4
    For each goal assist 3
For a clean sheet by a goalkeeper or defender 4
For a clean sheet by a midfielder 1
For every 3 shot saves by a goalkeeper 1
    For each penalty save 5
    For each penalty miss -2
Bonus points for the best players in a match 1-3
For every 2 goals conceded by a goalkeeper or defender -1
    For each yellow card -1
    For each red card -3
    For each own goal -2

Second draft, what do you think:

    Mignolet
    Mertesacker, Coleman, McNaughton
    Mirallas, Hazard(c), Walcott, Silva
    Soldado, Sturridge, Lukaku(vc)

    Subs: Boruc, Thomas, Turner, Figueroa

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,220 ✭✭✭✭Lex Luthor

changed one keeper, and now with Walcott possibly injured and having Wilshere anyway I've chaged the few positions

    Opinions?

    Draft 158!!

    Mignolet
    Coleman Mertesacker Terry
    Hazrad Navas Mirallas Walcott
    Lukaku Soldado Bony

    Turner Dickgacoi Chambers

Still undecided on whether to leave Navas in or change him for either Silva or Coutinho, what ye think/ Also unsure whether to go with Bony from start

Anybody got any opinions. Think the bench could be a bit weak.

I'm assuming you're playing 3-5-2? Having two 5.0 defenders seems a bit much.. could downgrade Lugano to a 4.5 (unless you have your reasons for wanting him).

Kompany is quite expensive. Zabaleta is only 6.0.

I personally wouldn't go with Lampard. Chelsea have an abundance of midfield options so he will more than likely be rotated a fair bit especially since he's 35 now. He will still feature but cant see him playing a full game often, if at all. They have Hazard, Mata, Oscar, Ramires, Schurrle, van Ginkel, Moses, and De Bruyne all looking for game time..

Coutinho has been good so far in pre-season from what I've heard. However he is somewhat unproven in the EPL considering he only played roughly 10 games last season. Small bit of a gamble but could definitely pay off. However, saying that, he will be played a lot considering Gerrard is getting older now, so will be playing less games.

Michu.. I'm really divided on him. He scored very highly last season and was arguably Swansea's main strike force despite being in midfield. However, now with Bony in the squad they have two attacking options which will more than likely result in Michu scoring less. Definite gamble and overpriced in my opinion. If he was 8.0 he would be playing in my squad. But at around 9.0 you could have someone like Silva, Yaya Toure, Oscar or Walcott.

Dzeko - Best of the 7.5 options imo but obvious rotational risk

i don't think it's too weak, apart from Davis, who I don't think will start.

If you wanted to strengthen it up a bit you could switch Cazorla to Coutinho.

Could downgrade Cazorla and upgrade your bench. Other than that, I don't see Lescott holding his position when Nastasic comes back. Could go with Zabaleta who should play most games.

    Some opinions would be welcome.

I currently have Winston Reid (WHU) on my team, but considering a swap for Toure (Both 5m)

I think Reid is less of a rotation risk and WHU have a better opening 6 fixtures. However Liverpool have a better defence (10 goals less conceded last season) and Toure is more likly to pop up with goals. Can anyone sway me either way?

Also who are people going for 4.5M midfielders? Currently have Dikgacoi. Want someone who will play most weeks so the likes of Ravel Morrison doesn't really suit.

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

Natasic was my first choice but i want a City defender and Leccott should start and is the cheapest. For Liverpool fans do you think Toure will be first choice. I had Coleman but i don't trust them under Martinez for clean sheets.

The stikers are wrecking my head Lukaku could be a bargain but with Chelsea's midfield they might play 5 in midfield. Also Berbatov has more competition than i expected. My heads going to explode.

For your suggestion i am thinking of downgrading Cazorla to Brady and try nick of another 0.5 to trade Lukaku for RVP.

Front 3 of dzeko, lukaku and benteke

2.5 million left, anyone i should consider instead or use extra money to upgrade lescott or morrison (west ham)

This is my draft at the moment. I'm undecided on Roberge because I'm not sure who Sunderland will start at centre back. Cazorla is in there temporarily until I hear more about Walcott's injury news. Any thoughts?

Had to change things around since Bale is not playing, and I've also left out Van Persie, as he's just too expensive, and I have 1.5m remaining in the bank, just in case I need to upgrade to Bale or Van Persie.

    Opinions?

Only big name you're missing is Walcott. Seems solid other than that.

Edit: Just noticed you're doubling up on Chelsea defence.. Cech and Ivan.. is that for the DGW?
