You'd think they'd manage to give some sort of a prize! Well done btw

Exactly. Even Cavan leisure centre managed to drum together €300 worth of Cavan GAA gear for their league.

I didn't post the code as I can't see there being much interest from non Cavan folk!

Haha, no, probably not! Bit odd though, giving away GAA gear for winning a premier league fantasy football league???

It's in conjunction with a local sports shop that supply the Official Cavan gear and probably have plenty of stock lieing round after the good run this Summer!

Have Cavan got a county hurling team? Looking for tickets for September after last Sunday ; )

The first head to head league is full so I created another one code 14187-299134 limited to 20.

The Second Head to Head League is now full also, so I have created a 3rd one:

    657455-366539

I remember getting slated for not posting the Buskers league code. Then CarlCon tried joining half way through the season when he realised he'd be top. Luckily the admins kicked him out.

Thanks for posting the code Axwell.

 I didnt post the code..I explained why.

Any league with prizes should close the league off to new entrants after the first few weeks anyways.

Anybody know if there is a league running this year for today fm last word listeners, cheers!

I meant thanks for posting the link to the site... Didn't mean to come across sarcastic.

I'd say there will be. Usually they are late launching it and will get last year's winner in to discuss tactics on the show.

Must be a funny Premier League season that November 28th is half way through:

I'd also point out Carlcon said he joined on November 18th (ten days previous to the 28th) and the closing date according to their FB page was October 31st.

Anyway, don't let the truth get in the way of a good story...

I'm in 15 leagues already and have another few I wanted to join so think we should keep the leagues to a minimum.

I am working on a Champions League style group format/knockout stage cup competition that I'll post over the coming days. Said I'd do it last season so might as well. The normal cup we have round January is too short if you ask me.

Just running it past FutureGuy at the minute as he's a mod.

As it'll be group stage at the beginning, everyone will get at least 6 rounds from it.

Keep your eyes peeled in the coming days :D

I would like to join this league. My daughter would love a Cavan Jersey

that'll do, even better. the cup format one last season was good craic, a champions league style one would be even better.

Will be a bit of work but I'll work on it over coming days. On wind down in work before my two week hols.

Anyone know where I can get the dates of the CL group fixtures? I know the tables haven't been drawn yet but are the fixture dates available?

Nope, from Waterford but I have a daughter who has adopted Cavan footballers and Wexford hurlers as her own. She got Wexford jersey for her birthday and is getting Cavan jersey for Xmas. Alan Clarke is her hero.

My bad, 30-40% of the way through the season. I won't argue with your dates above, I'd imagine they are incorrect but you have agreed with my initial point that Carlcon attempted to join the league after the closing date, after he saw me posting about it. He was kicked out by the admins.

    Post reported again.

Dates are all correct and on the link. That's why I posted the link. There's no need for you to imagine anything when all the dates and posts are there to read over.

Carlcon also mentioned at the time that he hadn't seen you posting about the league, the owner of Buskers had told him about it.

After all, you yourself raised the point originally above that you were slated for not posting about the league on here.

I do agree that he joined after the closing date. No problem there.

Your description of it being "halfway through the season" is where I take exception. It was in fact just 18 days after the closing date for the league of October 31st and would have been around GW11 as the furore happened at GW13 and Carlcon had joined ten days before.

GW11 would be 28.9% into the season. Nowhere near 40% or the original 50% you stated.

It's all there on the link so if pointing out hyperbole is a reportable offence then I'll gladly take the ban.

A Champions League style cup sounds like a great idea to be honest. Adds a bit more spice to things in here.

Hope to have the post up tomorrow. Have just been snowed under with a few things.

It won't start until a few weeks into the season anyway.
