    Oh dear :o

Take the bios battery out for a while just on the off chance it helps.

I shall refrain from going "you should know better" as that wouldn't be funny  :P :(
I just looked at my pc today with a less tired self and after alot of stess I realised I had disabled the pcie lanes while I was filling the loop to avoid damaging the cards. Me being stupid never taught to check these again. As soon as I seen them was thinking how dumb am I but also how glad I am to get it up and running.

The asked me to send in the details and they will give me a copy of the license for doing so :D. Lucky get to drop in with work :)

    New GTX670 arrived.
Any good benchmarks to compare its performance to my old one?

Have Haven installed and get ~30FPS. Would like to see that go up a bit :D

What version of Heaven and what settings? Pick a preset and I'll compare it with my score/FPS later. My card runs through Valley better though, I think.

Wouldn't mind seeing some stock and overclocked Valley benchmarks results using the Extreme HD preset. What 670 did you get?

So after one year of hell doing the leaving cert course, I'm freeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee :D:D:D:D

Nice, I've been eyeing up that card, any chance of a few quick Valley benches? Stock and overclocked?

It comes overclocked, seemingly, and I'd be like a dog flying a helicopter trying to do it myself.

Is there a dribbling morons guide to OCing anywhere?

Also, compressed air near Fairview in Dublin 3. Where get?

It really easy honestly, just google some guides.

Basically you adjust the core clock a few Mhz, then test using something like Valley or Heaven (valley is quicker)to run, keep increasing the clock until you see artifacts or get a driver failure. You can OC the memory also but start with the core. Just keep an eye on temps and it will be fine.

It's actually quite easy. I recently overclocked mine despite the fear of burning down my house while doing so.

Download a program such as Sapphire Trixx or MSI afterburner (I prefer MSI). You will also need something like GPU-Z for monitoring temps, load, etc. Also you will need a benchmarking program such as Heaven.

Benchmark your card using Heaven before you overclock. Record the settings used, and score achieved.

Increase the core clock slightly. Same increment every time. Some people go up by 25, some 10. Since it is already OC'd I would probably go with 10. Benchmark again with the same settings. Record score.

Keep repeating this until you notice something that should not be - Artifacts on your screen, driver crashes, computer crashes, changing colours, etc. etc. you get the picture. If something bad happens, reduce core clock slightly and test again. Keep recording your score each benchmark for comparison.

Put core clock back to stock settings.

Now the memory clock. Exact same process, leaving core clock at stock. Increase the memory clock by 50, and repeat until something happens that shouldn't happen. Again, reduce slightly if something does happen and test again for stability.

Now check your best core clock and best memory clock. Put these clocks up to whatever that may be. Now test again with Heaven. It is very likely something bad will happen. Don't worry - This is expected. Drop the memory clock slightly if that happens as the core clocks normally gives a better score.

    All trial and error really.

Was just about to post about this.

Anyone kept on top of Origin, still total spyware? I remember they changed the TOS but you'll have to excuse me for having zero faith in EA.

Fair ****s to Ea for this as they aren't taking a cut but as usual you have people bitching about origin

I wonder what the added games will be next week

You can use steam for five of the games if you don't like origin.

its was/is no more spyware than steam or uplay tbh. a bit of a resource pig but it gets an awful lot of **** by people who usually lick the arse of valve who do the same thing and who never experienced old steam

I never got the hate for Origin. The only thing I could really fault it for is the small catalogue of games it has.

    I noticed. :D

Had to use steam for MOH as the single player doesn't work with origin.Oddly the multi does.

Edit: Grrrrr same error using steam.

Oeign has improved in all fairness, less issues with logging in.

Downloading games can be pain though sometimes I get throttled to 50kbps while trying to update Battlefield :/

EA really don't wanna be voted worst company in the world 3 years in a row, this humble bundle and removing online passes for the consoles are a telling sign .

Unbelievable deal. I must have bought about 50+ games in bundles like this since the Steam Sale, can't even remember the last time I either bought a game for my Xbox or even turned it on - a Gaming PC pays for itself really in the long run when you consider how little you're paying for games in comparison to consoles.

In other news, as well as the 7950/6300 system I've ordered, I've also gone for an a10-5800/2133mhz ram combo system, going to see what sort of performance I can get out of them for the money! I'm especially interested in the 7660d @ 1080p with the 2133mhz ram. I have an old 6670 somewhere as well I might use to Crossfire with the 7660d and see what that gives me.

(I only ever turn on origin for bf3 and crysis 3)
I hate origin because it constantly connects to over 10 remote servers at the same time while its sitting idle.
At least two of them are from advertising companies (I have a list of the ips mine uses somewhere).
Steam i've only ever connect to one.
The fact you cant turn off ads when you log in is the worst where as in steam you can. There was a way around this and ea found out and updated origin to prevent users blocking it.
EA seem to be trying to be a nicer company lately which is good though :)
