The original article the daily fail lifted this from came up in the xianity forum a few days ago. No mention of angels in that one. The sequence of events was:

Car crashed - emergency services arrived - cutting equipment wasn't up to the job - more fire crew arrived with heavier duty equipment - girl was cut out of the car - the end.

Sometime while this was going on, a priest arrived and spoke to people. After the initial shock of the crash everybody calmed the fcuk down.

Because that's what a group of highly trained first responders need to keep calm, a priest.

It's a well known statistic that if you stick a priest in an ambulance over 50% more people survive to the hospital than without. It's complete bedlam in an ambulance otherwise, paramedics are running around screaming and completly losing their heads.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, the extras you get when you buy a merc seem unnecessary at the time but you will glad you have them in the end.

The priest probably just walked away and didn't want to hog the limelight. It's hardly frickin' miraculous or anything like it.
He scaled the ditch at the side of the road, wait a minute there is no ditch and you can even see miles around you no matter which direction you look.

I hope he didn't get any nasty cuts on his hands from the car wreck.

Its odd. Back in the day half the cars in this country had a padre pio sticker in the back window and we had a horrendously bad road death toll.

In 2013 nobody under 60 has one in their car window and our road death toll is half of what it used to be.

    Funny that......
Back in the day cars had very little safety features like today ;)

Let me introduce you to St Florian, patron saint of firefighters.
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saint_Florian

He was a badass, Florian organized and trained an elite group of soldiers whose sole duty was to fight fires!

Thank you for telling me this. I would have never had been informed of this if it wasn't for Saint Isidore of Seville, patron saint of the internet.

True, but they had Padre Pio stickers.
Sure why would anyone want brakes or seat- belts when you have the Top Man on your side?

Illinois student Katie Lentz, 19, had been pinned inside her Mercedes for over an hour and was fading fast when she asked her rescuers to pray
A priest appeared and began to offer up a blessing - after which emergency workers delivered Katie from the wreck to hospital
When they turned to thank the priest he had vanished
He has still not been identified five days on and many Catholics are speculating the priest could have been none other than Padre Pio.
