I don't understand the problem. If you don't want notifications then turn them off.

Some of them I do want on..I ended up going through each app and turning them off for ones I don't need. Will Titanium backup remember these settings or google as I don't fancy trawling through the list again.

    Hi,
I’m looking for a password protected app where I can keep private data. Ideally one that can sync and keep a backup in the cloud. Free app would be ideal…
    Cheers,
    Pa.

Pocket It's so good I paid for it but it's free if you want. Syncs to Dropbox. There's also a Windows version if you need it at the devs website.

I'm looking at getting this as my next phone but Meteor seem to be out of stock of the silver one (my preference) for the last couple of weeks. They have the black one in stock but I've heard stories that it can show fingerprints/scratch marks a lot easier than the silver one. Guess I'm just going to have to sit tight and hope they get it in soon.

Hello.Wonder can anyone help with this.I use the Car App that came pre-loaded on the HTC One and have the handset plugged in to the Aux socket whilst using it to navigate to prevent heavy battery drain. All seems well for first ten mins steady orange light at top of handset showing handset is charging but after 10-15 mins the orange light starts flashing and the battery percentage starts dropping. The orange light is flashing even if there is loads of battery left like 85 to 90%.Any ideas?Charges fine under all other conditions.

    ....and Grind.

Close the applications that hog most of the battery, you might be using more than your charger is inputting

This should be your first port of call, There are many many sub bar and sub current car chargers. Dont use a cheap one.

Also i use Sygic Navigation and its superb.

Since 4.2.2 the OEM car dock hasn't been able to supply enough power for maps, at least via the car app. The new Google maps (which is a massive disimprovement for navigation usability) probably makes it even worse.

The car dock comes with a bog standard 1a cigar lighter charger, so this is definitely a bug. I'm going to report it to HTC, but so should anyone else that has the same problem.

Had to use Navigation for the first time since the update and found it really confusing. First of all didn't realise that it was rolled into maps, and then it took me five minutes how to figure out how to set a destination. Still unsure how I got it working. It's totally unintuitive. Give me back my simple to use navigation app.

I have the same issue, but thought it was the Car itself, still unsure. The Lighter works, but nothing charges, well what I've tried, both charging the phone and the white Bluetooth handsfree, both HTC products.

There's two ports in the wife's car, lighter and another in the glovebox, same issue with both. And it's not just new Maps, the issue was there with the old app too. It just draws more than an amp when Maps is running. And this is with the CPU in power saver mode!

I gave up in the end and installed tom tom..
it was horrendous trying to set a destination in it..

My HTC One won't play music via USB in my car or via bluetooth as that function isn't possible with the car. If I was to buy the HTC Car A100 Bluetooth adaptor and leave it plugged into the aux-in is it possible to connect this to both the adaptor for music and the cars bluetooth for calls at the same time?

I've entered the correct wifi password on my HTC One but it's telling me it's wrong. It's definitely the correct password.
Anyone encountered this & know how to fix it please?

Also mine seems to come with 'FM radio' and 'TuneIn Radio' preloaded. why would it come with two radio apps?

on is probably the tuner for the hardware radio (FM Radio) the other is usually for streaming radio stations over the 3G/Wifi Networks

Sometimes copying and pasting a password doesn't work, I need to enter it manually. If that's not it, no idea.

FM Radio is exactly that, an FM Radio. TuneIn is a streaming service with 70,000 stations. One of my favourite apps.

Is it not a bit weird that it came installed with this app, as if someone else installed it on it. A returned handset ???

The free version of TuneIn is pre-installed on the HTC One. So was Dropbox and a few others that I can't recall exactly.

Installed the latest version of Android Revolution HD on my One and very happy with it...I like Blinkfeed...can browse through it and see what stories grab my fancy..would prefer it was set up so I could add my own feeds directly from news sites but its still good.
Was tempted to add Team Viper's rom as it's been excellent on the HTC One X and was very impressed with it.

Just got this the other day and I have a lock screen question. The lockscreen shows 5 icons

    1) Stock phone app
    2) Stock message app
    3) Lock
    4) Stock browser app
    5) Stock camera app

Is there any way to change these shortcuts or a different app? Stock browser for Chrome for instance?

Click on your application tray icon. Select the stock internet app and drag up to "remove" and then drag the chrome app down.
