I'd say if you just show up they won't turn you away. The last better farm wall I went to you had to fill out a reg form to get in the gate but sure if you make up a name for it and drop it in the box they won't look at it for weeks! Can't go myself unfortunately but wish I could cause Joe Murray's farm is heavy enough of land and represents our own land quality.

Does it qualify as an event? I don't see it on the approved list

i dont think they are very strict on the amount you actually attend, as long as you are not taking the piss, there was a lad in our group who would arrive 20 minutes late, sign the form and leave after half an hour....

More populist bull in today's farmers journal. They're saying how some large farmers are getting an increase in sfp under new cap. Some with over 400 hectares will get close to 200k. I know it's not everyone's idea of fairness but what the journal fails to mention is the amount of farmers with less than 100 hectares who currently get more than 200k and will only lose a small amount of this in relative terms under the new cap. Paper doesn't refuse ink and these guys know how to mislead people and stir it up.

I would read anything but I couldnt be arsed with the crap in the journal . Its a very repetitive paper with damn all new or interesting articles .
I find the farmers guardian is way ahead with pieces from farmers that are trying new and different things , good or bad .

There's a man on our discussion group in a wheelchair and nothing seems to faze him. He even went in on slats with it for one of the farm visits and that took doing. Just shows you what you can do when you are determined enough.
