    Ah, cheers man! :)

That would kill the gameplay imo. Knowing the songs before you start driving around the city?? Noo.

Agreed. Part of the joy of the soundtrack for me is hearing a song for the first time while you're cruising the streets. Still remember hearing Ranetiki on Radio Vladivostok for the first time while racing through Hove Beach in that crappy cab of Roman's... Or hearing songs on K-ROSE for the first time while out in the Badlands...

Even if it's released beforehand, I'll be avoiding like the plague. :P

most of those bonuses in the CE are either Tat you won't use or in-game stuff that makes the game easier. No thanks.

Would be kinda sweet to play as Tommy Vercetti again though if they put the effort into the classic characters for GTA Online.

Yeah the free guns are a bit of a put off for me as they could make the earlier missions a breeze and that isn't good for the game in my opinion.

The only thing in the CE that interested me was the garage with the Hotknife and bike, and I guess the extra clothes. But since Gamestop aren't selling it via the site, I'm just gonna get the Special Edition instead. Probably a good thing really, I have enough pointless CE stuff lying around the place as it is. :pac:

They were definitely selling the CE on their site for a period, I bought mine on it about a month ago. They stopped displaying it shortly after that, I reckon they just ran out of stock.

    Holy mother of jesus!

Although I find it hard to believe Rockstar would deny certain people access to the blimp? Unless its for multiplayer?

I love that GTA is the only game around that makes gamers want to actually have a challenge with instead of racing through it in god mode. :)

    Stolen from reddit:
The details of GTA V is still slowly filtering through the web, today we serve to better understand some of the dynamics within the game and some of the characters. At the moment there are confirmed by Rockstar, but some come from as reliable sources like Famitsu own.
    • The special abilities of each character can be activated with the L3.
    • Franklin starts at the bottom on the ladder of crime, restoring cars for Armenian 'crappy' named Simeon Yetaria.
    • ATMs can be used to check the balance of the protagonists.
    • You can pick up hitchhikers on the streets and then leave them in their ideal destination.
    • Playing as Michael - The ATMs can be stolen with a minigame, if we want.
    • Internet cafes have been removed. Now you can navigate (even in social networks from the game) and watch videos on the mobile phone of our character.
    • You will be able to drill a gas tank, drive the car into a group of enemies, then run and catch the trail to blow the car into the air.
    • Hundreds of accessories available to customize your pet.
    • Your dog can die or lose. You can buy a new pet in a pet stores spread over Los Santos.
    • You can hunt the animals and sell the meat obtained factories or farms. (which are bought by Burger Shot)
    • You can leave your car parked on the street, but if you put the ticket, the crane can take him. But you can recover in the warehouse prior municipal payment if you want to lose after having invested your money in editing.
    • There are underwater exploration missions. They are considered by Rockstar as a game "apart".

Is it just me, but judging by that map, the main city area is relatively small with large parts of the map taken up by mountains.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,166 ✭✭✭Beefy78

    Relative to what?

I'm pretty sure that the city is massive, I wouldn't worry too much about that.

I was just looking at the main city/street area on the bottom half and to me it looks quite small compared to LC. Maybe I am just not awake yet! :D

I'm with you on this in that that was my first impression, but then we dont know what scale is there...there could be tons of small roads not defined on that map.

I'm surprised with where they put Trevor's house, from the demo video I was of the impression it was to the north west and wasnt so far away. (I appreciate that the demo may have gone to Trevor's location and not his actual house)

*Sits back, curls fingers together with maniac grin on face*

    EExcellent...

I can't be the only one who's going to pick up a hitchhiker, take him to the middle of the country, give him a few seconds headstart and then hunt him for sport can I? :pac:

Or just hammer down to the end of the pier, bail out and watch with glee as he struggles to fend off a shark.

Question - Can you pick up hitchhikers in a jet plane? And can you choose to not give said hitchhiker a parachute?

I preordered the normal edition at my local GameStop, does this mean I get the blimp? Will there be a code or something to redeem?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,015 ✭✭✭✭Mc Love

Think you need to have the Special Edition.

I know it will only arrive a day or 2 later but Id rather pay the extra cash than see all my mates online playing it on release day :D

I pre ordered with Gamesnash. They always get a new game to me on release day.
