Does anyone know of a cam that will work with a HTPC for NC+? Have everything through my HTPC at the moment and would like to just add another tuner and cam slot.

If you cannot find a softcam............

Canal+ Cyfrowy Poland use Seca 2. The CAM - Aston Seca Cam 2.2.

I think i made a mistake in my previous post it was an 18month card i was offered not 12. I was offered this http://www.satsklep.pl/en_US/p/nC-Package-Comfort-/688 plus the canal+ channels for 269€. So i am wondering if that list is accurate above with excludes a load of channels?

Wondering if anyone has had any joy in closing a deal on this option?

I've emailed Satsklep twice about it. No response. I'm wondering if they are more reluctant to do this now that they have a ready made Canal+ card?

Perhaps you should ring them. Most speak English. Ive had emails coming back from them saying the mailbox is full?? I usually just ring them now.

Do any of you guys have any experience of buying Cyfra cards from cardsplitter? I see they have the Canal+ Platinum card (18 months) for €400 (PLN 1699). The same card on satsklep is €555. I have bought from satsklep in the past but only found out about cardsplitter recently (on this thread I believe!). Are cardsplitter as reliable as satsklep?

That's a great value card for €400. It includes all Canal+ channels and Eurosport channels in addition to a few kids and other movie channels. ESPN America is also included.

I haven't dealt with them. That is a decent price though! Interesting that they give Dublin and Cork contact numbers at the side of the page, which link to installers here. I was in contact with the Cork crowd before and at that stage they could only arrange the contracted Cyfra if you could provide a valid social security number.

The Dublin website seems to suggest that they can get 18 month cards, but says prices are unavailable. Might be worth some further investigation!

I have used them twice and had no real problem. Probably have to use google translate if emailing but apart from that it was all good.

Why not just order it on their site? I have bought loads of cards of them over the years and never called them once. I have always just ordered online?

Read the post I was quoting before that. The card we are talking about isn't available on their site. It's a variation of a the Pakiet Comfort, but including the Canal+ channels.

I'm with you Azzeretti... I fear that they may split the EPL games between Canal+ and NSport channels to boost subscription to the more expensive packages. I for one am going to wait it out and see what happens in Aug/Sept before I stump up my cash for a card/package

i dont expect epl games to be on nsport any polish games on n sport they had to put them on canal + at the same time as some polish dont get n sport

. my card lasts until september anyway

Just a not on the valid s.s no. Be aware that no-one outside of state agencies etc can ask for a s.s.no. On no account should anyone give their prsi no to any private concern.

In poland you have to give your polish social security number almost for everything (Pesel number). Thats what they were looking for, not your Irish PRSI number. You even have to give it when ordering on the likes of Allegro (Ebay type shop).

Thanks lads. Yeah it was actually a Pesel and ID which had to be supplied. I'm familiar with the phrase Pesel from a previous job. I should have clarified that in the original post by saying that it was a Polish Social Security number. The point I was trying to make was that at that stage they were only doing subs on a contracted basis.

I think lots of european sat providers are actually more heavy on the data requirements. Portugal for sure.

The Arivas work with these cards

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,138 ✭✭✭snaps

Yes I would possibly recommend the ariva 150. You get a nice little media player too, record facility, youtube, iptv etc etc. That deal i posted is a cracking deal to be honest, I would check though that the channel listing is correct for it as it says Eurosport 2 is included, if so i doubt you'd get a better deal.

sky dish too small and pointing in the wrong direction. For Cyfra minimum 88cm dish pointed at hotbird!

just repeating what has been quoted here, but is a 60cm dish sufficient for a subscription?
