Id imagine its based on how you use your phone, Some folks would thing nothing of having it in the same pocket as change / keys etc.

Some throw it in their hand bag with all sorts of stuff.

Id be quite particular about carrying my phone so id expect it to wear as such.

My Beats logo was gone in a week.

    No other discolouration.

Was browsing in bed this morning, and it got nuclear hot. AndroSensor reported it as being 42.1C!

Currently showing it at 43.6 for me and I've only had the screen on 5 minutes. Casemate tough case so can't feel it!

I just won a HTC One (yay) and collected it today. I've obviously been playing around with it.Just a quick question, does the front facing camera have a night mode? Just wondering how it'd work at night say if I was in the pub or something, photos aren't coming out at all right now for me, just a dark blur. The night mode works great on the rear camera but not the front one

Nope. You're gonna have to get someone else to take a photo of you.

For those that have unbranded and unlocked HTC One's, 4.2.2 is rolling out now. I've just downloaded and installed it now. I'm on the eMobile network.

Anyone know where I can replace the original headset. I liked it a lot, but I ran over it with a lawn mower.

Branded...first got a minor update, followed by 4.2.2. after reboot.

Same as mine, But mines sim free

small update then 4.2.2 download. So x2 reboots in total.

The update hasnt cured my GPS Searching problem so it must be a hardware issue. Im going to send it back for repair.

Has anyone sent their HTC One back for repair? How long did it take to get it back? Do they give you a replacement phone? As the One is the only phone I own with a micro sim. I cant be lfet without a phone.

    Same here, thanks.
I manually checked for update. Do you normally get notified in due course eg in play store or by network provider????
    Sorry android newbie here

The phone itself does a check every so often, generally its done at boot. So you would eventually get a notification in the notifications bar of a new SW available.

I might just add that eMobile gave me my upgrade to the One 6 months early :D just in case anyone is waiting for their contract to expire before calling them...

How did you manage that upgrade? I've tried but have been told one month before and nothing else

This is what I've been told
"We could not put through an upgrade that far ahead before it is due unless the customer has bought out of the months remaining on their contract and signed up to a new phone plan."

Just updated, haven't noticed anything significantly different so far.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,830 ✭✭✭✭MuppetCheck

Two things I wanted were toggles and battery percentage, bye bye power toggles and battery widget. Battery seemed to last a bit longer into the night with the update. New home button function improves some apps.

I can't wait to get this update in 7 or 8 months after Three have finished testing.

I guess they're minor things, but definitely improvements. No more black bar in some apps, more toggles, Home button now goes home rather than back/home, and more Zoe options are the stand-outs for me. I like the kikin app too!
