toplessness why is it acceptable for men but not women?

    On our streets?

    Seeing my fair share of men, bare chested with the moobs walking around Dublin today.

    Why is it not deemed acceptable for the ladies?

    We need more Boob's on the capitals streets goddamit! :mad:

    Its not acceptable for men to walk around streets topless. Only toerags do it. If you're not at the beach, put you poxy shirt on.

    I was at a funeral on Monday and even the priest had no shirt on.* Nobody bats an eyelid at a topless man, it's as socially acceptable as flip flops.

    Jaysus it'd be great if it was acceptable to go topless for women. Heat here is in the mid-30s and I get around on a bike. With a heavy-duty bra and a top over that, chaffy boobs alert. You just want to throw the whole thing off and let them hang like dangling cows' udders (or sit upright perfectly pert with nipples in the air like proud soldiers on guard in my case ;) Hubba!).

    Kind of mad when you think about the fact that you can't simply because boobs are too damn sexy for men. Stupid really. I just wanna throw away the shackles of the patriarchal society...man!!

    3 = boobs.

    Anybody who goes on holidays to a hot country 27degrees say men will walk around topless and it's perfectly acceptable. In Ireland 27degrees and they're knackers for doing it. Stupid.

    That might because it's mainly knackers who do it. They were knackers before they took their tops off and lathered themselves in baby oil/butter

    The important point is, is it illegal for women to go topless.

    It clearly isn't for men and if that's the case it clearly shouldn't be for women.

    Car insurance costs are high enough as it is. The rate of accidents would rocket if women wandered around topless.

    Nope, it's the same here in Spain. Men who walk around topless are considered "Macarra" (or Chav/Knacker). It's different on the beach though. It's illegal in Barcelona to walk around the city topless.

    Edit: I personally have no problem with anyone doing it.
