That's considerably cheaper than .co.uk, even with import taxes. I didn't realise that amazon.com had started shipping electronics here (about 5 years since I checked though!).

How do you find the LH deathadder?
I absolutely love it, cant imagine replacing it with any other mouse. Thats why I got a second one that I keep in a box for when I wear out this one :P. Was tempted to pick up a 3rd one when I seen one on adverts (my impulse crazyness :P )

Hahaha. Summer work at Intel FTW. Intel Discount Programme. Generally the deals aren't great, and are matched by large online retailers, but when a 4770k for 200 dollars delivered comes a knocking, you don't turn it down :P

Not bad! Don't suppose there's any 3570/3770K deals knocking around? :P

Don't forget the import tax on that :) It will come by courier and they will send on a bill for tax a few days later.

Do you get import tax on items ordered within the EU?

Are combined resevoir/pump units any use? The neatness appeals to me.

They can be quite handy but in low quality cases you will notice alot of vibration. I had an mcp355 in one and had it in a cheap case for testing and vibration was horrible then put it into an utgard case and had no noticeable vibration at all.

    Fractal R3?

Some are good but some are prone to noise as they fit very tightly and resonate through the case.
There was one there recently too that was prone to leaks, not sure which one though.

    Fractal R3?
In this case you would not noticed vibration at all at least from an xspc/mcp355 as I already had it in one for a week when testing a rig for a mate :P

When you use the Intel employee discount given to the guys in Shannon it gets delivered from the US.

anyone order off of custompc.ie before?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,710 ✭✭✭Monotype

Try doing a search on this forum on them. You'll get a pretty good consensus of what people think.

Generally not well thought of by those who claim first hand experience. Otherwise, they're not great value for money.

I thought that you had a build almost picked out? Are you worried about the difficulty in building it? It's not as hard as you might think.

    Building is easy. Like lego.
So long as you're not forcing anything where it shouldn't go, there shouldn't be a problem. You'd have it done in a few hours. Give yourself a day to put it together and with a bit of patience, you'll be fine.
Read a few guides and familiarise yourself with the connectors. Nearly everything you need is in the manuals, and the only tool that you require is a screwdriver.

Come onto the forums again if you're stuck in the middle of the build. Someone will always help you out.

Picked up Chivalry in the steam sale. Turned out to be way better than I expected.

Now give me a 1080p oculus rift to play it with :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,710 ✭✭✭Monotype

Steam sale? *Checks steam page* Oh... a steam sale. A previous one.

That looks like great gory fun. I must keep my eyes open for it on sale.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,299 ✭✭✭✭BloodBath

Yeah sorry it's expired but i'm sure it will come up again in the big summer sale possibly even cheaper. I got it for €7.50. Well worth it. The combat system takes some getting used to but when you do it's a lot of fun.

So glad i built my own now:)

Ive linked part 2 of 3,part 1 is about picking parts for your pc.

    Part 2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d_56kyib-Ls

Oh and also forgot to say the people on this forum are most helpful aswell, its a great resource to have,if you have any problems people with help you on here.

    STOP IT!

I just caught myself pricing waterblocks on SpecialTech.

I don't have the money for this!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,181 ✭✭✭Serephucus

Hehehe, reminds me of when I got my (not so great) exam results a couple of years back. Instead of eating a tub of Ben & Jerry's like a normal person, I went and bought a second 580 and a rake of watercooling gear. Sufficed to say I didn't have the money for that either. :P
