Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Remind me what happens if you miss your time slot? Are all points gathered null and void?

Have to give this outing a skip too lads, sorry. Scratch cup in Killarney on the same day so thats where I'm headed.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,935 ✭✭✭AdpRo

The only outing that I could make this year the weather made sure it was cancelled!! Unfortunately can't make this either and to make matters worse it's on one of my favourite courses. Enjoy.

  • Registered Users Posts: 849 ✭✭✭ballyk

The next outing is on the same day as the Captains Prize in Ballykisteen so I'm not sure if I can make it. I might be able to play the Captains early and then try to make it to the Heritage for the last group though.

Am definitely going to make this one. Really enjoyed playing it last year so hopefully, knowing the course better this time around will improve my pathetic scoring the last time...

  • Registered Users Posts: 249 ✭✭dwd

hopefully I should be able to make this one, but I won't be able to confirm for another week or 2.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,421 ✭✭✭✭Rikand

yeah, I actually was going to request could I get first, cause I might not be able to hang around :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,736 ✭✭✭ssbob

Permission slip submitted, can take up to 4 weeks to process due to "work to rule" in place!!! :D:D

Hoping I'll be there will confirm the week of as usual!!

  • Registered Users Posts: 892 ✭✭✭Ben1977

With a full week of sun shine, the heritage will be in great condition. It will also be playing very hard. ie hard greens, bad bounces and trouble off the fairways! Hopefully Mother Nature will give us 2 weeks of good weather, then I'd never leave the country.

Anyone who hasn't played the course is missing out. Lets hope we get over 30 playing and make a great day of it.

It was hail stones and I remember it well as it was my first round back after breaking my finger, managed a grand total of 13pts that day:D

Played the Heritage today and was hugely impressed with the course. Absolutely beautiful condition. Best fairways I've played on, ever. Our fourball all went home raving about the day and the course and they're a hard bunch to please. €25 for Open Singles. Incredible value. This is now my reference point when judging the quality of other courses. Enjoy it on the 20th.

PS (off whites) 3 or 4 rescue on the first is plenty to leave an 9 iron to green.

I suggested that once, she replied... "Yes there is, my husband"
Hat tip to her in fairness.

Hoping to be there but under pressure, if I am going, I'll be driving from Sligo
If there's anyone around that neck of the woods lurking, I might "have to"'attend if I'm collecting someone ;)

Sorry lads, going to have to pull out of this one, the sister-in-law 30th is on Saturday and shes decided to have a barbecue during the day instead of a party later on, as I was expecting. I'm raging, as I really want to play the Heritage.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,821 ✭✭✭blockic

Lads, I'm out on this one too unfortunately. Need to head down south.

Probably for the best anyway, myself and my golf clubs are fighting at the moment and don't think I would last 9 holes without doing a Keano! :pac:

lads, bit late I know, but can I get involved?

wife away with two kids.....problem is that I have no transport. I live in Dublin 3, so could petrol share with someone coming down....

    I play badly off 12

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,958 ✭✭✭✭FixdePitchmark

Lads this will be a late call for me . Struggling to shake an injury.
Will probably limp around. Wont be up to much on scoring front. But once i make it ill be happy enough. Physio in am.

    The aging process.

Did think of it. But if i need a buggy i cant transfer my considerable weight. So cart before the horse. Will see, but just man up.

Still a few days . But thanks for offer ;-)

Whether you are going or not we would encourage that everyone who is signed up to the Teamer notifications reply to them.

This enables us to plan events better and also shows us if you are still interested, at the end of the year if you have not come to any events and have not replied then we will be taking you off the list.

    For this event there are:
    • 21 accepted
    • 23 declined
    • 54 no response

  • Registered Users Posts: 849 ✭✭✭ballyk

I'm not going to know until Saturday whether I can make it. All depends on how I'm going in the Captains Prize in Ballykisteen.

I doubt it. Best I've ever managed was 4th in it and my form has gone downhill in the last few weeks.

Played the course the weekend, some track.

Greens and fairways are in great condition, best course I've played without a doubt.

    Lucky sods.

yeah yeah, we know what you're like, lull us into a false sense of security and then BANG - you blow us all off the course with a good score!!

We're on to you ya know!!!!:p:D

Himself and FDP are trying the same strategy!

Not too many like me who go out there expecting to win and then win to boot!

Btw, Back playing off 3(2.5) now I am the man to beat for the Heritage! You better have all your A-games brought with you, b!tches!

You better watch your clubs as there could be an accident beforehand;)

Anyway to make it interesting you should disqualify yourself from this event just to allow the pack to bunch up a bit!!:D

That's what I'll probably be doing and I'm only in 2nd place so Ricky should definitely do so! :D
