Despite your use of ellipsis to suggest some degree of ambiguity my point is pretty clear: despite the desire of those with politically-correct tendencies the suspect did, in fact, turn out to be precisely what the description implied. .....

Don't admit you're wrong, whatever you do. You intimated that the description given was less than accurate and used to placate "the PC heads".

Where are these posts that show the "desire" of those with "politically correct tendencies" for it to be a white person?

I heard "Law & Order: Special Needs Unit" is on the case.

Jaffa I think that poster means it's just such a vague description that there's no way an attacker could be identified from "medium height, dark skin, dark hair".

In fairness we already knew it was going to be a dark skin dark haired person, it was just the height that varies :P

    So it's either nigga or sand-nigga :P

    Banned.

It turns out the main suspect is a Pakistani muslim. What a surprise. Looks like we are heading down the same road as the UK, Norway and Sweden.

Why is that a surprise/not a surprise? What road did the other countries go down?

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

I don't have an agenda. I have only recently started chatting about immigration and the like. You on the other hand have 23,744 posts trolling every thread where you can find a whif of unPC within it. What is your obsession with all this. I will move on in a short while and deal with other matters like i tend to do. Look at my post history and you will see no mention of immigration until the last few months. But i'd still expect to see you being Mr PC at 50,000 posts.

Those countries are having problems with rape and the muslim and black populations are over represented in those crimes.

    Still not arrested.
    Under "surveillance" apparently.
    What a banana republic.
We need more background checks on people entering the country.

I applied for a 6 months visa to a extreme leftist Latin American country and had to show bank statements, police records and convictions etc, take a test for AIDS, T.B and other diseases, supply fingerprints and pay all the administration fees.
And that was for a 6 month visa.

I'd absolutely no problem with this, but would be called Right-Wing to call for it in Ireland. Even though it's policy in most leftist States (Cuba, Venezuala, Ecuador, China etc)

It is understood gardai have identified a suspect but are awaiting
results from forensic tests before making an arrest
    . The man is under
    surveillance.

I went to work in a number of countries and not in a fit would i have broken the law. People should respect the fact they are allowed into a country. Turf him out when his sentence is up (if guilty of course).

We need much more checks on people who come here... but we are in such a rush to let them in we don't have the staff to do proper checks. And of course we don't want to upset people either or heaven forbid come across as unPC in the eyes of others.

    No background checks.
    No blood tests.
No police record from applicants county necessary.

Depending on country the visa might even be free, and the tab picked up the taxpayer.

Yes, imagine that. I've never heard of this in my life.
Normally, they arrest a perp and gather evidence, particularly a predator rapist who is a threat to women in the area.

If he slips away and reoffends don't say I didn't warn you.
We're talking about the Gardai here.

I hope they have the right man.
They are right to keep him under surveillance until they have all the tests and evidence collected.
We don't want this lad getting off on a technicality.

I've never heard of alleged rapists ever being put under surveillance as they patiently await arrest.
    Never.

It doesn't matter what country he's from or why he is here.
We should know who is entering the country.
Do you object to visa applicants being told to produce their police records and blood results?
I had no ojection, nor play the racist card when asked to do so for a poxy 6 months visa in Bolivarian America.
I thought it was a spiffing idea.
    And thats a leftist country.

    Never.

...and that means it doesn't happen, of course. They just thought of doing it this one time to see how it goes.
