    Yes, yes it was :)

    Well, it's branded a 60cm frame, but it has a 575mm seat tube and 585mm top tube, so probably more like a 58cm.

    But, as my body got more accustomed to being on a bike, and got more flexible, I found myself wanting a greater saddle to handlebar drop. I had the stem slammed as low as it could go, and the time came when I wanted an even greater drop, so I changed to a smaller frame with a longer stem which is spot on.

    The frame came supplied with 3 spacers, so I got the steerer cut to fit all three plus the stem (which is probably the same height as the 60cm BMC with the stem slammed), on the first spin I dropped it by 2 spacers comfortably and could probably slam it to the head tube already, but going to ease myself into it ;)

    Oh, I'm not one for naming bikes, but I'm calling this one the Tumbler:

    Love the bike. It's at or close to the top of my list at the moment (and coming in at about €1,700 with 105, upgraded finishing kit and Fulcrum 5 wheels).

    Questions - hope you don't mind:

    What size did you go for - what size are you
    What's it like on the road - and what would you be comparing it against.

    Not at all.

    I went for the 50cm, recommended for 5'7" to 5'10" I think. I'm just a shade over 5'9". Fits fine, needs some fine tuning to get the position dialled in just right before Saturday.

    Cheers Colm, went out yesterday for a short shakedown. First impressions were "Why has my saddle come loose and been pointing north all the way to rathfarnham?" followed shortly by "Why am I going on my first spin on this with a post-Ras Diarmuid?". Feels nice, hard to judge without the position being 100% correct and it will take another while before I shake that "something is going to fall off" worry on descents.

    I'm in the range for the 50cm size too. Not that I'm allowed to planning to buy it or anything ...

    Any pics?? This was originally a Cronos titanium 325 that cracked. Raleigh built this frame and fork for me and agreed to paint it the team colours. I'm told that its the only 325 frame in team colours released outside the official Dyna tech Raleigh team.

    She's finished for now. Hong-Fu carbon bars are the last upgrade I'll be doing for a while. Definately an image of beauty to me:

    She does need either an Ultegra or some form of carbon chainset to really finish her off. The cash well is dry though.
