Raam, never argue with a weightweenie. He'll drag to down to his level and beat you with experience.

I'm actually thinking which bottle cages would get me under 7kg.

Why don't you change the saddle that weighs two metric tons? Cut the excess steerer and remove the stickers from the wheels (you 'll be surprised).

Yeah, I've been meaning to cut that down. Saddle is one of the more comfortable that I've had so gonna hang on to it for a bit.

Maybe carbon bars and stem and some lighter cages are next.

There should be a "no thanks" button.

Although I'd say I'd have thought they were cool when I was 12.

Do they light up when you walk too?

No, I wish they would though. That'd be totally awesome. Oh sorry, we're adults now. I'll have mine in black or white. No, no, black. Then I can claim sensibility superiority because I don't need to wash them. Yes! Adulthood rocks. It's soooo exciting.

Homna homna, stuff dreams are made of!

Clubmate borrowed a pair of lightweights to fit to his new S-Works Tarmac for Stage 2 of Rás Donegal at the weekend, a bike that wouldn't have looked out of place on one of those 'exotic bikes' threads on weight weenies!

Why is there a picture of a flower pot on your shelf and not an actual flower pot?

    Fantastic looking bike.

You made one critical flaw when taking the picture though; your valves aren't at 12 o'clock. So close though, crank arms at 3 and 9 and bidons out of the cages.

Since your "carbon" frame is actually "carbon fibre reinforced plastic" I wouldn't worry about it.

Finally, I have a bike that's worthy of being in the images of beauty thread...

    935986_10151399149957493_733577753_n.jpg

    Spec:

56cm Scott CR1 SL Frame and Forks
    FSA K-Force Compact Handlebars
    FSA OS115 Stem
    Easton EA30 Seatpost
    Fizik Arione CX Kium Saddle
Shimano 105 5700 Shifters, Mechs and Pedals
    Shimano Ultegra 6700 Chainset
    Planet-X Forged Brake Calipers
    Mavic Aksium Wheels

Weighed in at 7.6kgs....soooo much room for weight loss once my bank balance recovers!
