Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I think all this luminous yellow stuff creeping into the munster gear is terrible! Soon we'll be seeing something similar to that disgusting jersey Barcelona used to have.

Stick with the red, white and navy adidas!!

It is awful alright. Really not a fan of the luminous stuff.

Decent jersey if you're a cyclist as well I suppose... Could be sponsored by the RSA.

I like some of the brighter jerseys. Borussia Dortmund, for example have always had lovely jerseys. Not a fan of that Munster one though. Not bright enough for me

It does fit with the current puma designs, we'll see.

I like the shade of green but I wouldn't buy it.

Don't get why they have to have silly sticky rubber bits on the chest on all their jerseys. Does it serve any sort of purpose? Other than I like it. I love plain jerseys.

That's actually lovely. Nice hommage to the bands but still fairly contemporary and simple.

It's better than last season by a mile, but it's still rotten compared to their Cotton Trader gear.

Grip. Not much, but more is better than less.

This shirt is the actual ones that will be worn by players. It is tight fitting and also includes a pouch on the back for a GPS system to track all the players moves. The shirt is also covered in grip panels so that the players won't lose the ball in contact.
    On ebay.

Wouldn't surprise me if the next Leinster jersey is the same as the Leicester one in blue with white, gold and dark blue bands going around the middle

    Grip for what?

Yea, I would have thought the only people who'd be gripping your shirt in that position would be the opposition and I'm not sure why you'd want to make it easier for them to get a hold of you.

Was part of the reason for the tight shirts that players now wear not to try and make it more difficult for players to be dragged down by their shirt?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 30,308 ✭✭✭✭.ak

Yeah. Unless it's grip for the ball being held by the chest, then that makes sense I guess...

That's exactly what it's for. In football David James piloted similar initiative for goalkeepers where they had grips on the chest to help them hold the ball.

I got the players version from rugbystore today.

The Lions Authentic jersey is incredibly tight for the size too.

The Lions test jersey is really really tight for the size. When they say go a size up, DO IT!

The White Jersey has really split people it seems.

I really like it. I like to see more green on the away jersey (not that its worn a whole lot).

Think its pretty cool looking, and the material looks more comfortable then the last jersey.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,413 ✭✭✭✭Trojan

The white jersey was originally a game jersey in Tron.

  • Administrators Posts: 54,089 Admin ✭✭✭✭✭awec

    The home jersey is nice.

The away jersey is uglier than a sack of arseholes.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,637 ✭✭✭CoDy1

The home one is barely different to the existing, the collar being the only difference.

I like the away jersey :o

Both wretched. Far too dark and rubbery. Like a summer gimp suit.
