Not sure if this is the right thread, as I am new to this boards stuff. But does anyone have any predictions or tips as to what might come up in English paper 2 2013? Would I be ok with having learned the following answers : Drama: Character, Theme, Relationship. Fiction: Character, Theme and Relationship. Also does anyone have any sample answers or links to sample answers for a favourite chapter in Animal Farm (novel)? Feedback much appreciated. Thanks.

No point of predicting the course or analyzing the English course because it's just wasting your time. I only predict for History, the Irish studied poems and stories and then the French Formal Letter which repeats its guidelines from year to year.

Just learn off the notes, it's not even that much to study really

Please please tell me your predictions for the irish studied poems and french formal letter!
    Thank you :)

Predicting what will come up for English is futile, even if you knew what was coming up you wouldn't be able to just 'google' or 'search' for the answers in some textbook, English is one of those subjects where you have to use your head.

For studied poetry, bron will more than likely come up.

Oh yeah, I meant Informal not Formal BTW,

Informal Letter - They always ask you the following every 1 or 2 years:

    - Thank penpal for their letter and birthday present/invitation (very short)

    - Say what you did last weekend/What you did on holidays (Use Past Tense Verbs Sentences)

-Tell penpal what you hope to do/ your plans for special occasion like Birthday (Use Future Tense Verbs Sentences)

    - Give some news about your family/best friend (very short)

-Finally the Questions: Look at this Unbelievable Pattern that is basically going to just give marks to you.

    2012-
Ask her about her plans for weekend (Translate: Would you like to come over to my house this weekend? We can watch a movie It will be fun)

    2011
Ask him about his summer holiday plans (Translate: Would you like to come over to my house on July? We can watch a movie. It will be fun)

    2010-
Ask for news about her family : (Translate: How is your family?)

    2009-
Ask him to come and visit you next summer: (Translate: Would you like to come over to my house on July? We can watch a movie. It will be fun)

    2008-
Ask her what she will do next weekend (Translate: Would you like to come over to my house this weekend? We can watch a movie It will be fun)

    Now,
    IRISH STUDIED SHORT STORY

I am actually nearly certain that Gra will come up and if not then Bron. Trust me because I analysed the exam papers and found a pattern

    IRISH STUDIED POETRY

I wasn't as certain about this but I am pretty sure that they repeat themselves every 2 years for this so properly Bron or Gra. Not entirely sure though.

What about a formal letter in French? Do you think that it will come up by itself this year?

No, that never happened. Formal letter is sort of difficult and our French teacher didn't even teach it to us and told us don't bother.

It didn't come up a few years as well and it looks unpredictable.

The only thing good thing about it is that it is incredibly short (nearly as short as the postcard).

Just focus on the Informal and a bit on the postcard then should get an easy A in the Written Expression

Yeah, our teacher hasn't taught it to us either. But it can come up alone, although unlikely. I might have a quick look through the layout of a formal letter just in case though.
Also, it is more likely that a note will come up not a postcard, as a postcard has come up for the last two years.

Hi, everyone, JC is in less than a week - woah! Everyone ready? I'm just wondering if anyone has looked through the papers and thought of any predictions for upcoming questions?
    E.g. History, quetions 4, 5 and 6?
    Geography, the long questions?

Thanks beforehand, and good luck to everyone! :)

History q.5 will be the revolutions if it follows the pattern. If not revolutions then it will be plantations.
Q4 is harder to predict. But there's no point in learning what came up last year. Most likely Neolithic person and a lord will come up and I don't know about the other ones.
Q6 A will be either the Romans or the plantations. The labour movement will more than likely come up as an account in Q6 C as it is the 100th anniversary this year.

So my teacher is predicting that there will definitely be long questions on the sea this year... any predictions from anybody else? :) Hoping there isn't too much climate or urbanisation...

Ah Jaysus would love a climate question, Hot Desert all the way but my geography teacher is strictly no guesses so I have no clue

Learn all chapters. The science exam is random, so yea, and most chapters come up in one way. The most important chapters in my opinion:
    -All electrity chapters
    -Force
    -Magnatism
    -All plant chapters
    -Respirtation, Digestion and Breathing
    -Acids and Bases
    -All water chapters

That should cover you I think, but learn all chapters, I don't think science follows a pattern so I can't tell you what I think will be on the JC. :(

For aiste learn phrases for music, area, and other relevant topics that usually come up.
As for the litir I just learned the greetings such as conas ata tu and ending of a letter.

Hi I was very sick the past few weeks and got no study done! Can anyone PLEASE help me with predictions on GEOG, HISTORY, IRISH (themes and feelings and story writing).

    THANKS IN ADVANCE

    Hello everyone,
For History my teacher predicted Revolutions. I have not got a clue on anything in history.
For english I'm hoping that the poetry question will be something like 'name a poem that is appeals to you'. How many poems are you studying for the poetry question. My teacher is telling us to learn 8 but is that really necessary?
    Tich Miller (theme-bullying)
The Lake Isle of Inisfree (theme nature)
    But you didn't (theme love)
The Wild Swans at Coole (theme nature)
Back in the playground Blues (theme bullying)
Advice to a teenage daughter(theme love)
Dulce et Decorum est (theme war)
    Base Details(theme war)
