Bit OT, but I forgot how much fun you can have on wasteland. Felt bad for the poor lad I got on a server last night, until he called me names and whined in side over the death (he had been bragging about his base and egging ppl on to come for him, so I did, with an SVD and 500m away :P). I had to destroy is base after that.

won't be considered till its actually released. and tbh tactical shooter is where arma2/dayz should be discussed. its a dead subforum where dayz talk can bring some life into it, but that proberly won't happen either.

there was a request made already back in sep2012 (or earlier than that), after a period it was decided put on hold until the game is released in Jan2013 which we all know didn't happen. thus they won't entertain a submission until the game is officially released.

He's talking about the forum request we put in a while ago.

My only advice would be to stop being scared of losing your gear. It's going to happen, a lot, and there's nothing you can do about it.

I would try Origins, probably the most fun/intense iv had in a DayZ mod so far.

Breaking Point was far too laggy to be enjoyable, and while it was great that a lot of new weapons were added, it felt like a lot of crap was just put into it as well. I'v been a bit suspect about playing it after hearing people getting their cd-keys hacked via Breaking Point as well.

Namalsk is good, very atmospheric, reminds me a lot along the lines of STALKER. You have to constantly keep warm which adds a bit more tension. Not to mention bloodsuckers roaming around the map.

My pick to play would definitely be Origins though, the modified Taviana map is just brilliant overall and Origins adds it's own little things into which makes the experience a good bit better. You've always a high chance of being in a fire-fight if you're in a busy server as well. Also alot of people you encounter in Origins are in Groups so you have a higher chance of surviving with playing in a group.

The only thing I say about Origins though is - play with mates. The mod if kind of focused to be a Group orientated mod, some of the features are added with groups in mind so going solo, while not boring, does make playing the mod a little more harder.

Ive been playing on an origins server for ages, bases being built right beside us have created tension especially when were robbing each others cars haha Went on today to find my squads village gone, cars gone, boat gone, and the bases up the coast were gone too, hope he can do a rollback or ill be p1ssed !
