Have been playing Breaking Point and snapping at that too. People who log off after they die fast because their body will disappear are absolute scumbags. I usually wait about 20-30 seconds until after I die to log out just as a fair play message to the guy who killed me. Also seems to be a lot of combat logging.

Loads of combat logging, ghosting & log out on death dickery going on in Breaking Point. Couple that with the shocking servers & its not a great experience at all

I've found that people server hop on breaking point when they die.When you jump straight to a different server you spawn about a minute back from where you were on the previous server, essentially avoiding death.

I really dont see why they dont fix the servers considering how popular the mod is.

A lot of controversy going on with Deathlyrage (The creator of Breaking Point), He essentially is gone a bit on the power mad side now. Was talking to an admin last night on the TS and he basically said, as an admin or moderator if you question him and ask for more stuff that is broken to be fixed e.g suggestions; you risk your title of admin being taken away. Also regarding the recent exposure that his launcher potentially steals CD keys has led him to ban people who have said it has. Evidence of that on Reddit. I know he has a booming mod and a lot of hard work but can he not take a chill pill?

Maybe, after the first few months though the DayZ public hive worked fine though, and that was with I'd say 100+ servers connected to it.

Hey All,

The Eire Gaming Network has just started a Brand New DayZ epoch server. The Admins are cool and fair - strictly monitor bad behaviour, hacking etc and do not use admin tools in any way to unbalance the game.

Server name is DayzEpoch - EGN Ireland

can be found with Play with Six - working on getting it listed on DayZCommander at the moment

Looking for a nice sized friendly community to hop on and play without the usual worries of cheating and abuse.

Lads if you ever get bored of DayZ, remember Arma is an unreal game in its own right! Watch this video, its a snippet from a video over an hour long. Everything you see is all pvp action, no scripting etc. This is why Arma is one of the best if not THE best military game out there!

Slightly OT, but depressingly excessive experience with FPSs means I have to ask - how likely is it really that a NATO troop in any theatre in the world would charge into action with only iron sights, in this day and age?

If you've ever watched Generation Kill, you'll know it's all about the batteries.

Iron sights are still used for close range combat. Normally due to the fact they're small and allow the user to see his surroundings easier. Even the Steyr has iron sights mounted on top of the scope

You see that's the difference between Arma and say Battlefield and CoD. Do that in Arma and you will be shot. Unfortunately Arma is starting to attract more BF and CoD players...hopefully Bohemia will continue the military simulator aspects of the game and not change it to suit the demographic.

Just got back into this game, I've been playing Epoch, quite good, but I haven't done anything that specific to the game yet, apart from salvaging things and picking up bog roll.

Played on the EGN server mentioned on the previous page, runs pretty well, nice draw distance. It seems to be all private hives for the mod, would that be right?
