Can't even do 1400 :(. Crashes after 30 sec (stock voltages). I know it's a not a big deal (for most games, anyways), but for the sake of showing off :D

Is there any kind of guideline to go by to figure out if your memory speed is holding back your core overclock?

I've seen random comment here and there. Can't remember the numbers off-hand. Doesn't the 7950 have huge memory bandwidth such that it doesn't make much of a difference to overclock it?

I do know that I get almost 100 % linear gains from overclocking my core, though, so I don't think stock memory speed is holding me back. If I have a 1100mhz overclock going (over stock of 950), that's a 16% increase in clock speeds, I get pretty much spot on, that increase in frames.

Gains from memory will be minute in comparison. They already have huge memory bandwidth. I wouldn't touch the voltage on them. Just overclock it to whatever it will go to at stock voltage.

I haven't seen a huge amount of articles on GPU memory scaling, but from what I recall the most sophisticated DX11 graphics games/benchmarks (3dmark etc) will nearly always see some performance improvements as you increase memory speed, never anywhere same scale as GPU of course.

I have one article in particular in mind will post the link if I can find it.

    EDIT:

Found it, Metro 2033 actually shows much more impressive gains that I was expecting from the memory overclock itself, over 10%

Also stumbled across this for BF3 while searching from the above, seems it also gets a decent performance boost from just the memory overclocks .

Anyone seen that leaked driver/BIOS that flashes a 680 into a 770 ? I know it's technically the same card, but I thought NV would have locked this thing down. Near 7GHz IIRC on the memory, would be interesting to see how it runs though !

Cata update from 13.1 to 13.4 crashed midway on me, caused a load of hassle. F'ck sake. Gotta re-enter all my OC settings into the bios now, fun times(there are loads in a deluxe board).

Did you not save your BIOS settings to a profile?

You can download the lifelike human rendering head from nvidia now.

    Had forgotten that step ^^

The PCI/PEG setting had me scratching my head for a while with the second GPU. Got to bed at like 3:o

Yup, should be. Assuming the item is in stock, etc.

770 BIOS works on 680 ! Only slight risk of memory explosions :p

I see the front USB3.0 compatible refreshes of the Asrock 970 Pro3/Extreme3 are coming into stock at HWVS.

2 red boards? I only see one

They are all ATX boards similar to asrocks z77 lineup

They're all ATX, except for the two mATX boards denoted by X87M.

They have a Z87 ITX board, but it's not listed there, and I haven't seen much about it in the various info posts around the place, but I know someone is building an SFF gaming system around it, so it does exist.

    Yes! :D

That said, ASRock's new sound might be up to the task. That, or I'll pick up something like a Xonar STU.

I was just about to suggest the Essence One :pac:. I'm guessing the STU is its replacement. I need to get mine shipped over

    GTX 780 to cost €500?!

    http://www.overclock.net/t/1391488/vc-inno3d-geforce-gtx-780-boxing-picture-specifications-confirmed

I'll take 80% of a Titan for that money! If this gets released before June 10th (Step-Up expiry) I'll be ordering one for sure.
