Anybody find the picture a little fuzzy?

Also, I think they should the program start notification a bit bigger...mearly missed Dads Army

Adding new channels seems a little buggy - I had UPC add Sky Sports HD again, now they've added Sky Sports 1, 4, 1 HD and 2HD. I can view Sky Sports 3 but it has the "Contact our Customer Care team on 1908 to subscribe" popup showing up - but the channel is playing fine behind it. Maybe I need to do a channel setup or something.

Whenever I use youtube app it says video unavailable. Any ideas? Also have had to turn off box due to freezing at least twice a day.

Got the box today, taking a bit of time to set everything up. and no real good instructions about twonkey.

also very annoying that there is no volume on the horizon box. I lost the remote to my TV . so the old UPC remote would work on it, but this wont, so I need to press the buttons on the tv all the time to hi/lo the volume, anybody any ideas on how i can fix this ? tv make is a AGORA 42inch HD

Yeah that doesn't work for me yet either.

Anyway got the box installed this morning, I asked for non-consolidation and the engineer showed me that even though he selected it UPC went ahead and deactivated my original modem.

A bit of a pain but no big deal, he said that I could call them to get them to switch it around but I told him that it was fine. I have the main box acting as the gateway now and although it was a hassle to set up all my port forwards etc again it seems to be working ok so far, plus it's nice to have an extra power point free on my entertainment unit.

I've had the 'box has lost connection to your TV' issue a few times now but that's when it was going through my HDMI splitter.

When I gave the box it's own dedicated HDMI port on my TV it seemed to work fine.

I can't seem to get the box to join search the network though for other DLNA devices it it's acting as the router itself which is connected to a switch - it keeps wanting to join an existing network to find media on.

No big deal though as I already have a server hooked up to my TV anyway.

So far so good anyway.

Collected the box from DPD this morning, installed fine but had to call UPC to get the broadband up to 50mb from 25mb. Wifi seems ok, bit slow at times especially using twonky. Its better than the old box but nothing spectacular to be honest.

Few freezes throughout the day, youtube app doesnt work, menus are a bit confusing at times. Pity the usb is deactivated, that would have been great to hook a hdd to.

Tv guide is much better, scheduled recording worked fine (2 at same time), nice looking box.

DPD were looking for the old router and box but I didnt have them with me and they asked that I drop them in on Monday morning, dont fancy driving back to Naas, did everybody give the old boxes back?

It's a nice touch that the Horizon remote actually works on my TV (it's a 5-year old Samsung TV), now I don't need the TV remote for anything.

Still problems with Sky Sports 2 and 3, so I guess I need to contact UPC after all.

I managed to set my Raspberry Pi with a 2TB external hard drive hooked up today, the sort options is kind of limited and it takes a while to scroll through a couple of hundred movies to find one worth watching.
I also find it freezes a couple of times a day, also when I am streaming from a laptop to the box I find fast forward or rewind very temperamental.
Does anyone know when we can start logging faults so they can start working on them?

I posted earlier that I got it working with Serviio. Had to abandon Twonky.

Did u hear the fast flip on the horizon box hold down the 》 and it goes fast through the channels it 14 days guide on it not 7 days

So made fone call yesterday to upc about no no broadband and no phone,even after hooking up old router still no fone,they put me on to the horizon help team,took note of issues I was having,went away all day doing my thing and came back last night a 8 to find the issues had been resolved,all working fine.ps3/Xbox connecting wired and wireless ,no drop in connection on iPad/MacBook and had up to six devices connected at once to see any issues.thankfully no.

Anybody having trouble with youtube (on apple devices), not working on ipad or iphone. Works over 3g but not new horizon wifi. Not happy with the wifi to be honest, goes slow and fast randomly.

Ok..

So you want to see whats on other channels at the same time as the one you are watching....without going to tv guide..

SORTED..

Press Menu, shows "now on tv", Press OK, then press up/down , left hand margin the channels scroll, showing you whats on now and even next by pressing the next highlight, then to get back to channel you are watching…press Back Button

Remote to control volume of the box

Right now when I press the volume up/down it controls the sound from the TV...how do I get it to control the volume of the box

No they are not blocked at all. And the circulation is fine.
