Awful, awful day of football. 2 absolutely dire games

The only thing that is anyway entertaining in the league nowadays is the relegation zone, as TSC some or in my eyes most teams have already pissed off on their holidays by now. I`d point out Swansea & Fulham as two huge examples of this.

    I think Newcastle will go.

I`d love to see it to shut up Pardew but they will beat that pathetic QPR side, i`d be worried for Norwich and Wigan.

I got a reply from tommy the white power ranger on twitter today

    Why do you say that?

    Because he is:pac:

Self obsessed, poorly mannered, bullying twat. Incredible talent but very unlikable.

This and the fact he's an off the wall type who seems to have a very high opinion of himself and is bringing down the game with his nonchalant attitude towards it and his obvious talent for it

I've hit that brick (Walsh) wall with just days to go till exams. Always say I'll get up really early but I just sleep in. Happens every study week.

That said though, I pull results out of the bag when I do all proper all-nighters.

I don't think that post is of interest to anybody but.......

My bro is preparing for his final set of exams.

I don't miss that aspect of education at all :P

I like him tbh. At least he's an interesting character. You'd hate him more if he applied himself in the way the likes of Hendrie and Davis did because if you mixed his natural talent with their dedication he'd never drop a frame and the sport would become a procession. Snooker needs Ronnie more than he needs snooker. I wouldn't have bothered with the world championships this year without him. Every sport needs a flawed genius whos only held back by himself. The only man who can beat Ronnie is Ronnie himself.

Nought wrong with a flawed genius, but the man is an arse, a very talented arse but an arse nonetheless.

A twat around the table, twat to the other players and sometimes a twat to umpires.

You forgive him all if it when he's in full flight.

The greatest talent to ever.hold a cue

I was sure at first glance you wrote that about Alan Pardew

True enough, I still mantain that hendry was a better player but then again, its really close. I actually would have had corrupt John in the same circle but he has really hurt his legacy over the last few years.

Shame because Ronnie and he always put on incredible matches.

Its a great debate. I think Ronnies ability to just reel off massive breaks in mere minutes and make it look so easy at the same time stands him apart. Its like he had a God given talent where everyone else had to work so hard for it.

Probably goes a long way to explaining his perceived arrogance and nonchalamce too.

I'd argue a little more towards hendry, just so incredibly clinical, when at his peak when he got in, you knew it was over. Also brought a really aggressive style of play in as well. Shame he hung about a little to long when clearly past it however, don't think Ronnie will do the same unless broke.

Again though its a flip of a coin between the two.

Only copped recently how big the final day of the season could be.

I support Arsenal. My girlfriend supports Newcastle. She stopped talking to me the last time we beat Newcastle, imagine if Arsenal relegate them! :pac:

I REALLY wanted Liverpool to relegate QPR on the final day but now that is gone I now want QPR to beat Newcastle the weekend.

Think I have two newbies in my favourite YouTube clips ever this week.

Chris Ramsey and Alan Partridge "Get Lucky".

I seriously looked at approximately 40 minutes of the Partridge video straight through before I got the inevitable "WTF, am I doing with my life?" guilt.

Well, it's not like I needed sleep tonight.

Lot of word going round that United are preparing to make an announcement, and that it could be Fergie is retiring. :S

I would hate to be the man who has to take over from him. Talk about having some massive shoes to fill.

Man Utd without Fergie wouldn't seem right though :(

With Alex McLeish to take over on a 20 year contract :D

Cant see Fergie leaving after such a poor Champions League performance. He'll want to win it and then retire.

That's fun to say, but the way Bayern are right now, coupled with the fact Barca will rebuild, it's not like he can garruntee to do that any time soon...

How about at least look like they have a chance? Ideally he'd want to win but I reckon he'd accept a good go at it too. They never looked like winning the past couple of seasons, he wont want to leave it like that. He probably missed the golden chance to retire on top in 2008.

Ferguson retirement being rebutted by lots of trustworthy sources.

Tbh, I think this is as close to the top as he will go out. 20th title for the club, won the league at a saunter with a bunch of kids. Can point to controversy as an excuse at exiting the PL, and Jose available as a suitable replacement to ensure long term stability. Gets the trophy in a few days time to coincide with the announcement

Or he could wait a few years, allow Chelsea and City to rebuild, as Barca do in Europe and Bayern strengthen, never win the PL title again, get humiliated in Europe...

I'll stress I hope nothin comes of it, but if the idea is to go out on a high, it won't get much higher than this year...
