I like going outside and spinning in circles when I have to vomit, makes it much more dramatic.

It's the poor man's alternative to colonic irrigation.

I've had something all day. Can't even keep water down. That's my Bank Holiday ruined...

A LITTLE bit of vomit? Talk about an understatement. It got so bad I was puking up the pure water that I was drinking to keep myself hydrated... Every time I tried to go to sleep I would have a half-dream about someone giving me a whole glass of Jagermeister to drink and that made me run to the bathroom again. WTF, brain?

Thank Buddha my bath is right next to my toilet, unfortunately I didn't always position myself the right way...

Day 2 here. I can kind of understand the OP because the torrent of rusty water or radiator drainage as it has so accurately already been described, comes so fast and unexpected I didnt know what was happening or when it was going to stop.
The vomit in comparison probably wouldn't have been as bad if I hadnt just had a fish dinner. Ive only felt well enough today to try to unblock the bath with and old wire coat hanger and loads of drain cleaner.

I did get some good advice though from D Doc. If you cant eat or drink, suck on a bit of an ice cube. When you can drink a little put loads of ice in a glass and pour some water over that and drink sips of icy water. Apparently the icy water makes your stomach shut down or something and decreases the nausea and vomiting.

Best of Luck to anyone else out there who has it......

Think this is more than likely your culprit!

Think this (meaning the fish I suppose) is more than likely your culprit!
Thought so too at first but I have had food poisoning before and this is worse, much worse.
Besides cooked the fish myself and it was very fresh. Just didnt like seeing it again so soon and today it wasnt any more pleasant to be dealing with.
Ive seen a doctor definite diagnosis alright.

I've had the norovirus and food poisoning from fish.
Both very similar in their "reaction":o

This sounds horrific but I almost want to catch it, just to see if it's as bad as people say...

Put in an edit there to say Ive had a definite diagnosis from GP and although similar to the food poisoning Ive experienced Ive had a very bad reaction to the Novovirus this time and needed some help to get through this one.
Guess thats why some people wind up in hospital and others can manage at home by themselves

My youngest got the noro while being an in-patient at 7 months old.
Horrendous thing, it was so bad that we couldn't even put a nappy on the child as(and don't mean to be graphic)it was literally streaming from the childs insides and was like an acid on contact with the skin(got some really bad burns really quickly).

I got it from the child so feel your pain, my friend:(

I got it, passed it on the my boyfriend, and recovered. A day or two after I got better he was still sick and he gave it to me again so I got it twice in one week :( Worst week ever, I'd never been so ill in my life!

The worst thing about when you're cured is that you've no confidence in the ability to fart for days afterwards.

It's honestly f*cked up.... puking and sh*tting at the same time isn't something anyone needs to experience.

Walked into Connolly hospital today grand, walked out an hour later with the bug. Wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy!

Yup it's great fun.....I highly recommend it... what could be better than having to sit on the toilet for two weeks with a bucket by your side, such a joyful experience. On the upside I lost all the Christmas weight I put on last year.....:)

Had a bad experience with it 3 years ago, was suffering with gastroenteritis for two weeks when one day it was so bad I had to go to the A&E. Was there for about 9 hours before I left, but in that time there I picked up the vomiting bug. Went A&E on the Wednesday and was meant to be going away on the Friday, which was looking likely as I was improving on the Thursday. Woke up about 2am Friday morning when the vomiting bug hit me and it was disgusting. I won't divulge into the 'finer' details that I'm sure others who have had it are well aware of.

Ok, the worst of mine was about four hours in total - you guys with your two weeks? You win. Multiple times.
And having gastroenteritis for two weeks, then picking up the norovirus in hospital? Things can't really get any suckier!

It comes from your bum like a bullet from a gun - Diarrhea! Diarrhea!
Its so hot and runny it shoots out from your tummy - Diarrhea! Diarrhea!

Yeah it was a bad time, no idea how it lasted for so long, seemed to get better when I stopped taking Nexium though. Have had a camera in my stomach twice since as a result to add insult to injury :D
