Looking for a good battery saving app. I don't want it to turn connectivity off all together when the phone is idle.

    What's the error?

II'm getting as far as the error too. Pick Ireland, sky is the only option, then continue or skip both cause a popup with "an error has occurred please Exit the TV application and try again"

I'm using the system power saver with only display and cpu selected. Easily got 2 days on holidays using the camera and mild browsing.

System battery saver would be the best, with CPU and screen brightness ticked.

3rd party battery saving apps should be used on Android 4.x.

Same here unfortunately. I put in UK and a Belfast post code and selected sky and it worked so it seems the Irish sky system isn't setup yet. Hopefully that will come soon. I got it to control my tv while in the UK version so that might be a decent temporary measure for some.

Update,I have the app picking up my tv and upc box. You have to sign in with a UK postcode, I used bt17 and select one of the options. You can then setup your tv and cable box by hitting the remote icon at the top and following instructions, my upc box is a Thompson by the way. It's working perfectly as a replacement remote but the interactive guide in sense tv won't work. It's actually a better remote than upc,I haven't had a Craig Doyle intro with it yet! Hope this helps.

People who have bought from Meteor -- are they stocking black or silver or both? Thanks

They stock black and silver. When buying they asked me which one I would want. I chose silver.

And they stock only the 32GB version. It's the only version available in the market.

I have sky working fine on mine. Seemed very easy to set up. Did you get a chance to set your box type?

Do you have the interactive guide on the phone working with the box? When setting up did you select Ireland? It crashes when I and a few others here select Ireland and try to proceed.

Ack, just updated my HTC One (Vodafone) to 1.29.161.11 via OTA update and now I can't connect to the network.

Anyone have the same issue? When i try and connect manually to Vodafone it says: "Your SIM does not allow a connection to this network"

Before anyone asks, the update completed successfully and it did not seem any different from any previous OTAs.
SIM works fine in a different phone also, so it's not an issue with the SIM.

Yes, I couldn't get around it in any way i tried. I flashed Android Revolution instead. It uses the AROMA installer but thankfully didn't get stuck.

If you're hell bent on using trick droid though you should try different recoveries; CWM, CWM touch and TWRP.I also saw that they mentioned that for TWRP the zip should be placed in sdcard/0.

If you continue to have trouble then check the MD5sums of all your downloads.

i flashed the android revolution one at the weekend and its working perfectly maybe try that? ps you cant use the screen with aroma so its volume buttons and power to select.

Actually the one issue i have with the ROM is the autobrightness seems WAY too low. i had to turn it to mid brightness so i could read the screen

Aroma is a PITA. The creator has a fund set up to buy a One, you can guarantee once the have the One, Aroma will be fixed.

TrickDroid can take multiple attempts to flash, even using vol keys and power, but it's worth it. Has features not found in other ROM's. I made a couple of theme mods using Aroma, and they seem to work fairly well, haven't had many freezes.

I can't get on the GSM network, the APNs have nothing to do with that :)

I've turned the phone off and on multiple times, I've tried a reboot, re-inserting the SIM, everything bar a factory reset really. Nothing has worked so far.

    Oh, just fixed it;

Settings > Mobile Data > Network Mode > Switch to GSM/WCDMA (only, no LTE and it started working again :D )

That seems to have kick started it back working. You can then switch it back to GSM/WCDMA/LTE auto and it continues to work. Although haven't tried a reboot yet.
