I agree with you and I think he will be gone by this stage in the actual draft. When he was talked about as a top 5 pick he was being overrated, but I think now he's possibly being underrated by people. At worst I'd expect him to go early second.

The boards mock has gone pretty well so far and I think all the picks made make sense, however come draft day there will be trades and teams will have completely different grades on the players than we have. For example I picked Fluker at 39 overall, I will be very shocked if he's still there at that stage in the actual draft. Menelik Watson still hasn't gone in our mock while he's being talked about as a first round option in the actual draft. No RBs have gone in our draft and I'd be surprised if that happened in the actual draft.

Te'o could be worth a 1st round pick but we see it every year with players who drop & who is to say he won't. He is an ILB which isn't a premier position.

Also have seen a few reports in the past couple of days that have seen Cooper n Warmack slide down with Fluker being pushed up.

I think people are picking guys that fit well with the teams.

He's going a hell of a lot higher than 50th.Even the biggest doubters know that.

I actually wouldn't be too surprised if no RB went in the 1st. Eddie Lacy doesn't seem to stack up to recent 1st round RB's. He lacks burst and you have to wonder how much of his production was down to that all-star o-line.

It could happen, there doesn't seem to be any stand out back that merits a 1st round pick this year, but I saw a stat last night that an RB has been picked in the first round for each of the last 50 or 60 years. I could see someone trade into the back end of the first round to get an RB they like, ala Tampa Bay and Doug Martin last year.

That is like the Bears dream if they could pick up Patterson and Te'o in the first two rounds!

Lads how long do you reckon it will take to get to the 10th pick?

Bout an hour I'd reckon (not all teams going to take their 10 minute allowance)

I always find this time of year and the endless draft speculation, to be one big head wreck for me. Looking forward to the draft alright, but I'm too indecisive to finalise my own picks. Anyway, I take my hat off to all of ye, I don't know how ye do it.

I just can't wait for Thursday night at this stage.

Listened on the radio last year as it wasn't on Sky. Only shame is that no TV coverage of the 2nd/3rd rounds on day 2

Any idea if whatever coverage they're carrying will be giving away picks before they are officially made? Last year I got NFL network for a month for a few euro and it was a really high quality stream and they didn't give away picks before Roger Goodell announced them which I thought was much better.

I'll probably do the same again with the second and third round this year but it'd be easier to watch the 1st on TV. If they're giving away the picks 10 minutes before Goodell announces them I'll just watch it online again.

They get the NFL networks stream imagine. The NFL made a purposeful effort last year to not show behind the scenes of players taking calls.

I really enjoyed the radio coverage as no hint of what was coming

If you don't want to use Sky mate use the link to free Game Pass for draft night that I posted on the previous page. They'll be using NFL Network coverage so it will be the same as last year in that they won't reveal picks. NFL Network and ESPN have both said they won't reveal.

Word of warning also lads, if you don't want to know picks before Rodger announces them stay off Twitter that night. The likes of La Canfora and Schefter etc will be posting them and trades before they are officially announced. It really spoils it for me so I just stay off social networks altogether for the night.

NFL Network will not give away the picks before they are made.

The days of seeing of seeing someone in the green room on the mobile before they get picked are over. Rich Eisen pushed hard over it.

So just stay off twitter and stick to NFL Network and the commish will give you the picks. As it should be!

I hope Schefter gets banned from Tweeting picks.
I follow some great draft people and want to be on twitter for the reactions.

Unfollowing him won't help either, too many people will retweet him.

Hope Goodell tells him to stop. He was banned from doing it on day 2 AFAIR

ESPN and NFL Network have both said that they won't be revealing the picks before Goddell announces them and they also wont show footage of draft picks on the phone

Cheers, I'll use that on Day 2 and 3 and maybe Day 1 depending what Sky Coverage is like.

    But Schefter also said this

"I'm not going to report standard picks," Adam Schefter told ShermanReport.com. "If a team is sitting still at No. 15, I'm not going to tweet (that pick). In other words, mundane, run-of-the mill picks, leave alone. But if it's a quarterback or a bold move, have at it."

Doesn't really make sense to me that the reason ESPN and NFL network are doing this is because the fans think it's more exciting not knowing until Goodell announces it, but they are still going to go ahead and let people know the most surprising picks before they happen. So just to be safe I'm going to stay off Twitter anyway.

What is the point of him having to get in ahead of Goddell, ruins it for most people. Im sure people who are not in front of a TV can wait a couple of seconds extra to get the news from twitter.

What are peoples draft preferences in terms of Best player available vs need? Always find it interesting to see which teams go BPA and which teams try pick by need.

Terrible audio, and video quality is poor in general tbh, but I've been looking for a full episode since the Geno Smith one went up on YouTube about two weeks ago.

Anyway, Luke Joeckel at Jon Gruden's QB Camp. Hopefully quality doesn't put you off too much.

I'd say most of the teams picking at the start of the 1st round will have so many needs that if they go BPA then it will almost certainly fill a need!

As it goes through the first round I'd say teams look at players that fit their scheme along with BPA and need! I presume teams will look at scenarios whereby they have a choice of 2/3 players and what they want to do in this case!

As they get further down the rounds then I presume teams take the BPA available!

Las year the Colts went BPA throughout the draft and ended up taking a lot of offensive players, even though the defence was arguably the weaker of the two units going into the draft! That didn't work out too badly!

Ye great point about the Colts last year, they really stuck to their draft board.
Would expect the Chargers to do the same this year, thats why im not sold of a left tackle or guard at 11.
