Just on Barkleys arm - what would people compare it to in the NFL at the moment?

No worse than Matt Ryan imo. Not top tier, but won't stop him being a great Quarterback. Plenty of guys with better arms from the past few years are no longer in the league. What Barkley has above others is what will make him succeed.

    Stronger than Peyton or Brady's.

Must admit I haven't seen enough of him, but they way you're talking about him makes me really want the Jags to take him at #33 pick, which is a possibility (sent a big contingent to his pro day).

Do you think he would suit Jacksonville? Wouldn't have a strong line to help him but MJD on the ground and 2 good young receivers could give him options.

Does anyone reckon a QB like Nassib, Barkley, Dysert or EJ Manual (think I've heard Arizona's Matt Scott mentioned as well) would be an improvement on Gabbert/Henne for the Jags QB situation next year?

Let's just say Walter's sense of humour is an acquired taste. That's as nice as I can put it as I use the forum over there so I can't be too critical.

    Chad Pennington. :)

Really don't think he'll amount to a whole lot: lots of precedent to draw on as far as USC QB's are concerned.

He has a stronger arm than Chad Pennington. I don't think comparisons with previous QBs from the same college is at all fair or relevant.

He is being likened to Andy Dalton by a lot of people now.

No idea why there has been no QB Camp with Manti T'eo online yet, but here is the Geno Smith episode:

First take muppets turning a non story into a story as usual.

Wrong Thread but the Pats have made no indication of looking to sign TO. He just worked out with Tom Brady in So Cal. He worked out with Matt Cassel so by the same logic the Vikes would be interested also.

What exactly are you asking? If you're asking why the Patriots don't have any compensatory draft picks its because they're only awarded to teams who are deemed to have lost more or better free agents than they signed last year.

Ye its done on a wage scale, for example If you lose a WR and HB who get massive contracts you will receive high picks such as a 3rd round, if you dont make big signings yourself.

Ravens have 2nd highest amount of draft picks as they have a policy of not signing many unrestricted free agents but they do sign players who get cut.

So next year the likes of Dumbervil and Huff will not count against them when picks are allocated.

Been doing this for quite a long while now

Not sure if anyone has seen the "Game Changer" segments on NFL.com. Mooch puts players through their paces with help from ex-pro's.

I have been watching the Manti T'eo segments today. At one point they are going through drills n Barkley over-throws Te'o. Barkley said I was throwing towards imaginary receiver and Te'o responds "that's ok, I'm good at imaginary stuff" :D

Te'o also interviewed with Mooch alot better than he did with Mayock at the combine IMO. I wonder if going to the combine Te'o had got himself worked up about what the response was going to be to him from players, coaches etc. and if that affected him.

He looked like a different player at his pro-day and on this segment. So is it possible that he had a weight lifted off his shoulders following the combine?

I seen that and it made me laugh. If he can laugh about and make little of it, like he did in that clip, he'll be able to fit in with most teams. I was worried he me might be stand off-ish about it which would mean that he would integrate poorly.

Not sure if people have seen it all, but he got hammered during his media session at the combine. I'd say that was a big turning point - probably realised it wasn't going to go away and he just has to learn to live with it.

Got hammered? I thought he did very well at his press conference.

I agree he did very well, I was referring to barge of questions about catfish. Numerous times he tried to draw a line in the stand and move on, but the questions were relentless.

Ravens close to signing rolando McClain apparently. Chances off Te'o going in the first have now taken a bit hit.

I'd rather have Te'o on my team than McClain.

Eddie Lacy had a pretty poor pro-day. His numbers weren't great but a bigger worry was that he was our of breath during the drills and the work-out had to be cut short as he tired.

Meh, he's been injured and his tape is dynamite. His 40 time - while not incredible - is good enough to hold his stock together.

All Alabam players are overrated this year except for Warmack and Milliner IMO

I think Barrett Jones is underrated!
