    Yes but when responding to the scene, all of them would radio in police backup and you'd have dozens of squad cars converging on the scene, surely they could have locked down every road in and out of that area in a couple mile radius within minutes. Especially given how much manpower they have on this one.

    I'm sure the reason they didn't was for fear that they had more explosives on them, which could potentially injure or kill many more people. Probably safer letting them get somewhere, then evacuate the people. There was no way they would have been able to get far.

    With all things taken into consideration, how have they not found him yet? he is a 19 yr old on the run! Then again I'm sure he as 1 or 2 accomplices that we've still to discover as there is no way in hell that he could go this long by himself.

    He made contact with his family earlier.I'm sure they've followed up on it but surely phone records or something will lead them in the right direction.

    Its turned into a state of paranoia in Boston, with anyone slightly fitting the bill being a suspect. Then again if a bomb went off somewhere near me I'd be pretty worried.

    Lets just hope they catch this lil sucka!

    Been following this for the last hour or so here and on Reddit and its really apparent that no one (and I include the police, the media and all the internet followers) has a breeze whats going on.

    I'd be on the side of those who believe the police have made an absolute mess of this.

    I hope I'm wrong though I cant understand how a 19 year old who hasnt shown any hint of professionalism, who has made a series of bad decisions probably due to stress, can continuously evade such a massive task force.

    What the fook is happening!!

    So is Boston in lockdown? Meaning no one is allowed on the streets? Or they are being told it's in their best interests to stay off them? He has either killed himself or laying low until dark, because surely someone would notice him if he was on the road.

    Cut him open to restart his heart according to the Boston Globe.

    There was talk of explosives and 'trunk injuries' earlier too so again... all conflicting into and speculation at present.
