Wow. That is weird.

What I've found amazing is the sheer amount of footage of the blasts and aftermath, to be expected nowadays. It all adds to the fear and pop culture of the whole event I guess.

edit: BTW, that was the first one of those photos I've seen you never usually see as a Mod has gotten there before you...:cool:

When 911 happened I was living in the US, in the bible belt.
A couple of Sikh lads I worked with had to leave their turbans at home and wear baseball caps. It was very sad for them that they had to do that but I guess they did not need the hassle or feared for their safety.

Yeah, there is a strong chance that initialy they could have been targeted by some because of their religion could not be told apart from Islam. Im sure a few Muslims were trying to keep a low profile too even though they had nothing to do with the atrocity.

But you have to worry about those tweets and those who sent them mentalities and if they had access to wepons would they use them

The fear is certainly ramped up over in US. They have streets closed of in oklahoma City right now, because a U-haul moving truck is parked on a street, they have the bomb there as well I think. Live link below

They play people like fiddles. Turn up at funerals, be afforded police protection and if anyone does try to attack or defame them they sue the fcuk out of them.. being a family mainly consisting of attorneys.

They're best ignored.. I know that's easier said than done sometimes but they thrive on outrage and attention.

I didn't know this and I'm not sure if there is any truth in this BUT, allegedly, the WBC are neither church nor cult and their implicit purpose is to irk people into a) Physically attacking them AND/OR b) Deny them their fundamental right to "peaceful protest".
They are supposedly a very smart family of lawyers and provoke attack in order that they might sue (and win) big sums of money.

I see that a medic from Mass hospital has told CNN that the metal they took from some of the casualties was a mixture of ballbearings, nails and other metal objects. Some had up to 40 pieces inside them.

I remember very well the day of the Oklahoma bombings as I lived in the US at the time .Remember crying at my desk in work after hearing about the creche.
