anyone tried the remote mod with tinfoil?? i assumed the prob was not the remote from what i'd read...can anyone confirm this?

if so would i be better with a all4one or alternative?

    TIA

Tinfoil, you're really serious aren't you ? The remote is perfect in Spark so it's now an Enigma thing. Do the value change to 45 method

webinterface is needed for the sake of few files that is imported by the other plugin, you do not need to enable it

Having same issue on AR-P image with installing autotimer...the error "Extensions/AutoTimer(No module named Screenpage)" comes up, even after installing webinterface from the plugins menu, and rebooting. Not sure what else I can try...thanks for any suggestion - Edit: one strange thing, even though I installed webinterface, it is not listed in plugins list (it is listed when I select remove plugins), and when I look at the extensions folder it is there, just a few files inside though.

PS: Outside of autotimer, the only thing I miss from the HDMU image is the Default Pli skin - is there any way to install it on AR-P?

    Thanks

Just google PLi-HD skin v3.0. You should be able to find the Author's thread. I'm lovin AR-P. Seems better than HDMU.

    Hi Looking for a bit of help to resolve an infuriating problem;

    Short version:
I can timeshift fine, but I can't record, gives me "HDD not present or HDD not initialized"

    Long Version:
I've been trying to get this working for a few days (I had it recording programs before one of my rebuilds), I format the drive and then follow Pog's instructions:
    mkfs.ext3 -L RECORD /dev/sda1
    cd /autofs/sda1
    mkdir movie
which all execute fine, then I reboot and neither timeshift nor record works. To me it looked like it wasn't mounting so I installled HDDMountManager Plugin. with that set up I can get timeshift to work but not record.

It looks like the timeshift is looking to /media/hdd/movies and finds it, but for recording it is set to /hdd/movies (and can't be changed) which it fails to find, is my issue with my mount points?

I tried doing the onboard initializing but I always get a timeout error.

    Any help appreciated.

The paths should be /hdd/movie/ for default movie location and /media/hdd/ for timeshift. They will both be saved on your usb, but they use different paths

    Edit, I'm assuming it's HDMU

    Yes, it is indeed HDMU

So reading your response the HDDMountManager isn't mounting /hdd/movie (from autofs/sda1/movie), but is mounting /media/hdd, I'm not in front of the box at the moment, but I don't think there was an option to mount on /hdd/movie, only /media/hdd/movie, I'll check later.

I'm guessing that most people haven't installed the plugin, so without that plugin what mounts the drive?

I've read on the Satstation forum of problems with the hdd manager plugin, remove it and set your paths in menu-->setup-->system-->recording paths

I'll see what can be done with the skin, regarding autotimer I'll try install it my self and debug issues I encounter, I hope to com up with a howto and/or resolve it the next AR-P build.

I would encourage you to log any issues you encounter on the projects page on google code, as that page is followed by mane AR-P members.

I had been trying to change it there but it didn't seem like something I could change, just found out that I have to press Menu and then switch to file lists and then I can change it!!

I'll post back this evening when I try this, thanks.

Issue 47 is logged for the WebInterface so I didn't want to log it again. I did lots of messing about yesterday with the WebInterface and AutoTimer.

It took me two goes to install WebInterface for it to appear on the list of installed plugins. However, when you try and change any settings, you get the following errors
    20130415_000842_zps3092a3e9.jpg

After trying the installation of AutoTimer, I got the following after which the box kept rebooting over and over until I FTP'd into the box and deleted the AutoTimer folder from within the Extensions.

    Bootlooping with this

If WebInterface can be fixed, then I'm quite sure that AutoTimer will be sorted because of it.

OpenWebIf takes ages to load up so I'd have no worry about WebInterface replacing it.

Well... everything is possible, it is just matter of time :)

It would be great if they had skin previews in the skins section. I didn't want to just go blindly installing skins but I've no doubt that some may be quite decent. Without a preview, I went straight for the PLi-HD skin and downloaded it from http://openpli.org/forums/topic/23150-pli-hd-m-mod-20/page-4#entry306301

championc, do you think it better than HDMU image? Rock solid in what way?

try iDreamX mate, works great for me :)

Haven't had a chance to set this up yet but will give it a go this evening.

Just wondering, will this tool let you footle around with your external hard disk? Like, could you load/delete movies on your external?

    Cheers

I certainly think so. The only reboots that I've done over the past few days were due to me trying to get AutoTimer and WebInterface to install and work. It seems far quicker scrolling through Terrestrial channels too.

I can take a snapshot of my box as it is right now if you want a copy - just PM me.

+1 on that. I'm literally in the middle of flashing the box now.

PLi-HD v3.0 skin, CoolTVGuide v6.4.0, CrossEPG, AutoBoquets, OSCam, OpenWebIf (I've set it to port 50080 so you can change it back to port 80

So AutoTimer not working because it relies on WebInterface which also does not work. I could not get the EPG button to remember it was using CoolTVGuide :( Streaming will only stream the Current channel - but works well.

The only other thing which I haven't figured out yet is that it's setup to use CEC so when you power off your TV, it powers off the box - or if you power off the box, it will power off the TV, and then the reverse for Power On. The problem here is that I Zapped a channel yesterday and it turned on the TV when there was nobody in the room at all.

You need to format it to ext3, use the commands in my guide over telnet
