most ppl dont shoot unarmed but always some who do. thats what happens on everydayz server.

I know that some eejits do that but my point is that joining this server isn't really all that appealing when it's the same group of a few guys regularly playing on the server and I'm always shot when unarmed.

AFAIK It's just Uh 1H and Chinook.

the only advice i can give you is join our public ts3 server and befriend a few guys that will help you. randomly running into ppl is bad as you may have startled them. itchy fingers n that.

alot of the time the attacker can be the then victim.

beinh honest man its a lesson learned... get your get together and head north, how ever I'm having trouble figuring out this trading is there a site I can use? to reference what i can trade and stuff?

for instance cut throat razers are they worth money ?

Basically only Weapons and vehicles are the only way of making good money. You will need a tent or a well hidden vehicle to store your gold when you first start getting it, until you get a safe.

this is only as guess, but.

Goto https://github.com/vbawol/DayZ-Epoch/blob/master/Server%20Files/mysql/epoch.sql

Look down the list for -- Records of traders_data

Find the item you looking for, On the same line the first bar (eg Gold) listed is probably the buy price, the second the sell price. I may clean the list and post it when I have more time

thats your own fault lad , find a gun fast when you spawn , no1 rule:D . the last time i played on a server where i wasnt shot on sight was when the game first came out .. now on every dayz server public or private your shot on sight.:rolleyes:

I agree, kill or be killed is probably one of the main aims of the mod, even a hatchet will suffice if you're smart and catch the guy with the gun off guard. Myself and another lad killed an As50 sniper in Elektro before because he was bad aim and he didn't think we would bother coming up at him with hatchets. It was funny in the end when we got his L85 AWS, Coyote, As50 and mountain dew. This was back in the old days of DayZ too.

Its happened to me a few times across different servers and while I used to get pissed off with it,I'm now finding that it really amps up the tension.I've become a hell of alot more wary of people and am more cautious about being seen. I've also become a dab hand at running away.
The other day on the gaellords server, some guy was hanging around where I spawned.He came at me with an axe and then pulled a gun.I had absolutely nothing on me, but luckily for me he was a terrible shot and easy to confuse so I managed to run away into the woods.Then I appeared to be stalked by guys in a heli.lost sight of them and ran straight into a guy blasting the ****e outa zombies.Thankfully he seemed like a decent bloke and didn't shoot my unarmed self, but the heli made a reappearance and I did a vanishing act inside a shed only to hear the poor fecker who spared me getting sprayed to death. After that it was the usual run in with people who shot first and asked questions later.
From my experience you'll come across 1 or 2 decent people on servers that won't shoot an unarmed player on sight and just want to play their own game.I'm fairly new to the whole dayz thing so all I've known since playing is the majority of people being out for pvp.Its been a fairly massive learning curve cause in the first few games couldn't focus on learning the fundamentals of the game as was too busy avoiding people/being killed.

Guys are you all playing epoch or is there a regular dayz server you play on? been playing on chernarus servers, lookin to teamup up with some non bandits if such a thing exists :-)

We play on our DayZ Epoch server, search Gaellords. You wont find many "friendly" players on it though. Join the teamspeak & play with lads on there

what bank ?, some act as a debit card, through mastercard or visa
does it say mastercard or visa anywhere on it ? cirrus etc

It's the older AIB bank card. Works as a laser, or Mastero. I found a website that said they accept Mastero but when I entered the info, I got an error and an email later saying they only accept Mastero from certain places, not Ireland. (Something along those lines anyway)

Been playing DayZ Taviana lately and enjoying it a LOT more than plain old Cherno shoot on sight and get sniped when you spawn......

Taviana is much like that as well, spawn in Byelov and just wait to be murdered if your on a populated server, run to Sabina if you survive Byelov you are bound to die from the crappy framerate if you get into PVP. Most maps are along those lines, only two that aren't really are Panthera and Namalsk from the wide vareity of spawn points not really near cities.

you can connect your laser card to a money bookers account and use it on steam and some of the bigger sites as well. Failing that I think gamersgate or greenman gming accept laser cards, but I found linking it to moneybookers to be th ebest and safest way.

Drop into your local branch and ask about a replacement. The lady will point you to a phone and tell you to dial 1 or something, then tell the man you lost/broke your card and he will send you out a shiny Visa Debit card.

Have a laser myself, and was a bit dissapointed when I couldn't use it on steam. I just buy the steam credit out of GameStop now

Should be on later on, ill jump on team speak and see if anyone's on, should be able to pick yous up if my cars haven't been robbed yet

You can buy them in most small shops like centra, spar etc. They are a pre paid credit card. Its not connected to your bank account in any way, you just buy it and then top it up with cash and you can use it to buy stuff online. They are great. Better then a normal credit card imo since you can't spend money you don't have, getting yourself into debt.

O2 Money Card acts like a visa and when you want to top up you go in store, I think if you top up under 40 euro its only 50 cent charge.

Theres hardly a place online I can buy steam credit? I'll have to pop into the local branch tomorrow anyway and see if I can get this new card moving. Although I assume it'll take a few weeks. I've signed up for Moneybookers, but unfortainitly, I now have to get my lastest transaction statement and find out the amount they took to finish my sign up. What a load of bs!

if you have online banking check in your pending transactions window and the amount is there straight away.Tooke me a while to cop it.
