Damnit ive been so unlucky with vehicles, found a humvee during the week with a turret only and missing a wheel thought my luck had finally changed, searched for 4 hours for a wheel and couldt find one succumbed to some zombies eventually while being a bit careless.
So if anyone finds a Humvee with some food and a double barrel shotgun in it your welcome

My character is at least 7 days old on the boards server, but I haven't been on for a while. Longest I've survived while playing is possibly 12 days I think back on the public hives.

Also what sets DayZ Epoch apart from the rest? Not played it before.

I think most of the lads here play on it. It does tend to fill up in the evening. Epoch is a "mod of a mod" of DayZ, basically bringing some extra features.

I came across that and your body the other night. I helped myself to a bit of food from your body but left the rest there. Doubt it's still there but it's possible.

server gets about average 5-14 players. and its only about a week old so trying to get a regular following is whats gonna make it. but ppl tend to rage quit alot....

you gotta go to one of the markets marked on the map, then each trader deals in different things, so for instance in stary there is a merchant who will buy food,toolbox items, backpacks etc, just approach her then scrool mouse wheel when in front and the menu should appear to trade items for metals, the metals can then be used to buy other things such as guns ammo or other supplies depending on which trader you go to.

you need to bring something to the trader to sell first. then you need to find which of them sell's the item you have. certain items can only be bought at certain locations for example unarmed choppers are sold/bought at bash - armed choppers are bought/sold at klen. I've seen people bringing vehicles found out they couldn't sell it there so just stripped it of parts and just sold the parts.

You interact with traders like you do with a car. using the action menu.

I've played on the server the past couple of days, every time without fail I've been shot at by people while I was unarmed. Last time happened a few hours ago in Elektro, I was trying to scavenge something in one of the fire stations and I just got dropped out of nowhere in the tower even though I had nothing on me. Couple that together with the fact that it's pretty much always the same 5-6 other guys on the server and it doesn't really make me want to go back. This was right after I saw a couple of guys going around in a hummer.

I've not got a problem with PvP, I've usually been one to advocate and encourage it since the game would be woefully boring otherwise but is there really any point in gunning down defenceless people from hundreds of metres away who've not spawned more than ten minutes ago?
