Just wondering if you've noticed much of a change in terms of aesthetics after doing several weeks of GVT, then doing several weeks of The Cube? Any size loss with the lower volume?

    He's not a bodybuilder..

I know but it is important to not have muscles that are used partially in exercises substantially weaker than the primary muscle.

It helps avoid injury and he might even take more weight easily

Are you familiar with the cube programming? There's not many "holes" in it.

I'm stop doing heavy chins, overhead pressing, high rep bench work and a lot of squatting.

    That makes absolutely no sense.

As DaZa said - keep the views coming. Fred the warrior 20 views.

    Quick update...

Weighing in for my first comp in 3 years tomorrow. Sitting at 91.6 now from 94.3 last night and 96+ last week. Hopefully the rest comes off over night so I don't have to sweat tomorrow.

Had a mental few days with a family funereal which means I haven't trained since Monday. Got some band traction done yesterday and will roll/stretch/move tomorrow.

Not ideal prep but c'est la vie eh?

Posting to pass time while cutting - was 1.3kg over this morning. Going a combo of 6 layers of clothes, a layer of black bags and 40 minutes on the bike will be enough. I'd say the lads in ballymun gym think I'm a freak.

Will have time for a sauna in Hercs if necessary!!!!

That sounds nasty, best of luck with it. I don't know anything about cutting, but I'd imagine dehydrating yourself to that extent is pretty bad for you?

I know it's only short term.

I just know the very person who'll approach to to berate it! Tenner says he stays by your side for 40 minutes telling you why you're 'wrrrronnnng, bud'.

Probably not healthy at all tbh. Down 4.5kg over the last 24 hours. Say I'm back up 2+ already.

so your division is up to 90?
you,ll weigh in at 90...go have a pizza and some apple juice and come back and compete at 100+.

Same happens in mma and other sports...its kind of cheating but I guess everyone does it and is expected to so you dont get an advantage.

Would you be ok with being weighed on the day if everyone else was?

No, it's not cheating. Cheating is doing something against the rules.

I've done probably over 20 comps at this stage. I've weighed in 2 hours before lifting in 18 of them.

Had a poke thru my log for my last raw comp...

    Hercs Club Champs 2008, where I went;

    235/140/250 @ .........105.6kg!!!!!

Get anywhere close to those numbers at 90kg this time and I'd be a happy camper.

    Vids here... http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showpost.php?p=58280078&postcount=1019
