Why are you even bothering with it at all? Did all the 'Resident Evil 6 is a pile of crap' comments not give you any hints? :P

Did you play through Revelations? It really puts 5&6 to shame. And even at that, it has some very tedious 3rd person shooting segments.

I've yet to even buy Revelations, I might wait for the rerelease of it.

6 is way better than 5... could never understand why 5 didn't get the abuse that 6 got.

Shin Megami Tensei IV is confirmed for a Summer release in the US:

I'd put money on it being my 2013 game of the year.

You must have really low Simpsons comedy standards, then.

    AND FAVOURITE IS SPELLED WRONG!

    Your joking, right?
Ah I see maybe you are, as you should have said spelt wrong.

That's a really good Simpsons episode by the way, not as good as the Cape Fear parody or the fat Homer episode but still very good.
Seasons 11-17 get mauled as having low standards but in my opinion there was a definite slide of quality, as in the poor episode where now unwatchable, whereas, before these dips still managed to raise a few chuckles. Despite that, there are still some excellent episodes: Weekends at Burnsie's,The Heartbroke Kid, Simple Simpson and the tomacco episode being just a few.

Now the 'classic' Simpsons ended for me when Lisa Kudrow's character pulled out a mobile phone and used it.

New simpsons: Starts off with a ridiculous situation then transitions (segue would be the wrong word to use) awkwardly/ridiculously into a completely different situation for the rest of the episode because it's oh so 'hilarious' and 'quirky'. Then do this for every episode. Then beat dead horse a little more.

Once the simpsons started doing this it was dead to me.

The last time I watched The Simpsons regularly it was the 90s, since then it's just an episode here or there.
And the Tomacco one is a laugh, although I love anything with Troy, Dr Finklestein or a Monorail (not called Blaine!), but that's more of a Shelbyville idea....

Finished it last night too. Now that's how you close out a game with confidence, style and bat**** insanity. Big improvement over the closing sections of the original game.

Im not sure if this comes under the heading of retro or arcade so just delete it if Im in the wrong place

If you only watch one of my videos this year I recommend this one. Not because its particualerly entertaining or anything like that but because it focus' on a gem of a little game still in the development stages. Dont let its cartoony graphics deceive you this game will have an impact on you in one way or another.

Great story. But like Bioshock the gameplay is super clunky. Incredibly dull combat just keeps getting in the way constantly.

The fact that Bioshock infinite is being so highly regarded is sort of depressing as it highlights how dull the stories and settings video games usually are that everyone is willing to overlook the fact that it doesn't really play all that well.

The game wasn't perfect, but I thought the gameplay mechanics worked incredibly well at times. There were undeniably missteps - darn base defense mission and bullet sponge enemies - but towards the end especially it offered some of the most dynamic, well considered action scenes I've encountered. I'm all for games being braver and abandoning combat, but the violent compulsions of the protagonist were so integral to the story and themes here I felt they were justified.

Although some of the more memorable segments were indeed the ones where the weapons were holstered.

It's the sidebars that I want. It's much better than everyone looking like fat bastards when stretched to 16:9.

Ah is the one your getting back from your folks also 16:9? You can set this one into 4:3 mode though because you have the original remote for it is that right?

There's been a very, very strange april fools in the fan translation community. On 1st April Romhacking.net put up that Tales of the Tempest on DS had been fan translated. For people who aren't in the know Tales of the Tempest is one of the worst RPGs ever made, it's Legend of Dragoon levels of crappiness and quite possibly worse.

The weird thing about this april fools is that it's a legit and finished translation project that took the team 2 years to make. Quite a lot of dedication for an april fools joke. Supposedly it's quite polished and even has subtitles for the karaoke sections.

Right time to put some legs on this idea.

Twin Galaxies is back up and running and there are 11 Boulder Dash records there that i know i can beat.

Im thinking of doing them all in one evening in a public location and trying to raise a few quid for charity in the process.

I will need a bit of help with this with recording and the use of a few computers that i dont have in my collection so if anyone can help that would be great.

Im hoping to get this going for the End of August so any ideas or offers would be appreciated.

Ah well Disney has pulled the plug on Lucasarts and are moving to a licensing model, so we can expect lots more Star Wars branded shovelware in the future.
