Tracking number says my phone was in Dublin on 28th. Contacted Flubit today who seem to think that means it was delivered on 28th - so I am seriously hoping this does not turn into saga of missing phone. My patience is at its end.
That's unlikely. If it's in Dublin according to the tracker, then what might have happened is that they didn't update it since. Read back through this thread and you'll see that it happened to a lot of people, and even though they got their phone days later (mind you, there was 4-day weekend to interrupt the delivery process), the tracker still said it was in Dublin. I'd say you'll get a PM notification tomorrow or Thursday at this rate.

Oh, if you're that worried, call the courier (TNT?), speak to an agent, give them your tracking number, and see if anything more specific can be told to you. Since it's in the courier's hands, Flubit will not be able to give you specific information on its location beyond what can be seen on the courier's website tracker.

Nope, used the link from this thread and even when I clicked on it in the cancelled demand it brought me to the right page.
Bollocks. That's not normal for sure. Just try it again and if you get another rejection, contact their support. I think Flubit are giving the best odds on us Oirish folks getting our potato-stained hands on a Nexus device.

At least you know the earlier rejection isn't going to be an ongoing problem. Thing is, Google might cancel your order after the validity of Flubit's offer expires (though I think it can be revived?). Best of luck!

Getting a bit fed up waiting on Flubit today I was googling how to order in Germany, and the Nexus4 is available over the counter there from both MediaMarkt and Saturn which are in the Currys / Harvey Norman kind of business for €395, or delivered for €5 more.
    BUT...
Both chains had Easter promos which expired yesterday selling the N4 for €329 - d'oh!!

I had a look on both sites, and it's easy to register / order, but only for delivery within Germany. You can even pay with Paypal.
If Flubit dont get a move on I think I'll be calling in a favour from work colleagues over there.

If you're willing to pay above Google's price then why not just go over to Amazon and have them ship it to Parcel Motel?

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/LG-Nexus-Android-Smartphone-Sim-Free/dp/B00APXX7D4/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1364935703&sr=1-1
    (this one's Fulfilled by Amazon)

It's a bit cheaper than what the Germans are charging, too. Plus the delivery should be quick and free with Super Saver, since you'll be using Parcel Motel's NI address.

Really? You don't get Google, then? :)

    http://www.flubit.com

In case you meant the URL to give to Flubit, Googling will work there, too. Plus I posted the links a few pages back, as did others. Or simply Google "Nexus 4 8GB" or "Nexus 4 16GB" and hit up the link. It'll tell you that it's not available "in your country," but the URL is still correct.

If you can export your iPhone contacts to a .CSV files you can reimport them to gmail, no hassle involved....

Thanks, synced contacts to iTunes and in the info tab synced the contacts to my gmail account. So when I switched on Nexus phone for first time and input my gmail account details all my contacts were there.

Really liking the phone so far - I'm use it a lot for work, emails and social media - so the size of it is much better than the iphone. App store great, much better than when I had a HTC Hero years back, overall a smart phone.

I'll tend to agree with that, I had a HTC Wildfire S before this phone and it was a pain in the bum tbh, I had to root and hack it a lot to have it the way I wanted it - and before that I was a Nokia user, refused to get a touch screen phone.

I still find out more and more things about the phone on a daily basis I never knew about, admittedly small things but I must say I'm over the moon with it!

I just received an Armour Dillo cover for it this morning - you should look at something similar (videos on YouTube) I finally have some form of a bit of protection if the phone goes for a hop.... :P

I'm very tempted to get a Nexus from the UK but would we get any kind of support in Ireland?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 232 ✭✭clancger

Anyone got theirs shipped that ordered on / after March 21st?
Flubit told me today that my order is stuck with Google

Oh noooo BEST thing I did was get over the S3, its clunky and slow where the nexus is just soooo darn fast and slick!

Loving how the Market now has the 3Dmark benchmark app and the nexus is right up there almost top of the list.

Got 200 Euro for the S3 (Yep I could have gotten more for it but it was to a work mate so...)

lol already been asked for first dibs on the Nexus when I'm selling that for the same price.

Ah sure, if that's the case, hold onto it for 5 years and offload it for the 200 then.
