    Hooray for me!
Off to work but not before I preformed Easter Bunny duties and dropped chocolates all around the garden!
And good thing the phones clock adjusts to BST, or I would hasn't missed that!
Therefore, the brain and phone say it's half 7 but everything else insists it's half 6 and I should go back to bed!
    Bugger!

I think that one of my drinks might have been spiked last night because I honestly didn't have that much to drink =\ (no, honestly!)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,183 ✭✭✭✭Atavan-Halen

I had 3 pints and I was on my fourth which would be fairly normal for me and I wouldn't be really drunk after that, just a bit tipsy. I went to the bathroom, came back and finished off my pint and then just a total blackout from that point to me in dominoes at whatever time this morning.

Let's hope no one had their wicked way with you in the missing hours, and suspicious bruising or "tearing" in sensitive areas?
Watch FB for photos of you from the early hours of this morning as well!

How did your mam react to the new arrival btw?

You spiked yourself? That's fairly desperate :P

Ah the joys of the day after drink and its compounded bg spilling a soda can last night and only throwing a towel on it to clean up. Wake up this morning and the bedroom floor is crawling with ants. Not a nice way to start a hangover I can tell you.

Found out yesterday that I can't make Ace Attorney due to a family birthday. Have a ticket going if anyone's interested, drop me a PM and we'll sort something out!

Caved and watched the film this afternoon instead. It's a lot of fun - not Miike's masterpiece or anything, but a loyal, playful adaptation that does a good job capturing the spirit of the game. The character design and costumes are ridiculously detailed! Serious haircuts all around.

Only disappointment was the soundtrack. They use some of the game themes but in cheesy remixed versions. Should have just used the pre-existing orchestral compositions!

Would have added (sarcasm) at the end of that, but that would be explaining the joke. And you know what The Joker says...

    Quick question:

Was thinking of making something along the lines of an Ikea Ramvik cabinet for mame and what not but I see that they're now discontinued. Is there any other out of the box solution similar to that table? I wouldn't want anything too big and the less woodwork the better, as I'd make a hames of that kinda thing!

Nope, Ikea don't seem to have anything like the Ramvik cabinets anymore. Plenty of 'open' type ones but they'd look crap unless you were very tasty with the woodwork.
    Just buy a candy :)

The Ramvik were perfect though, compact, easy to adapt, perfect for multi game pcbs, very tidy indeed.
I'm sure there are similar ones out there, but they may lack the neat glass panel on top.
Also unfortunate is Atavan-halen getting mine the other day!

Yeah, they really were a straight out of the box solution, that looked very neat. they were perfect. I'd no intention of getting one until I seen O1s1ns dreamcast one on adverts (although I played Cidermans at the one beers I was at and t'was lovely too!), which funds wouldn't allow at the time, and now I've got a craving to reproduce something similar.

As much as I'd love a candy, I'm still in rented accommodation with a group of lads who would have no interest in a cab taking up half the sitting room!

Started Chris's chapter of Resi 6 and my god is it absolutely terrible. You are so regularly out of ammo that you find yourself using bare hands and the knife more than your guns. It's shockingly bad.

And weirdly he's the weakest at hand to hand combat too. Sherry Birken kicks ass on the other hand.

There's a pretty cool section with an invisible snake, but other than that his campaign is the weakest in the game.

I hope it gets an awful lot better than chris's campaign because it is in desperate need of playtesting to balance it. It's just not any fun when you run out of ammo since the enemies are easy enough to melee but it's boring doing it since it takes so long.

Perhaps Chris needed to train by punching more boulders instead of spending it in the pub.

Think you can generally run from the big armoured monsters that burst from the cocoons that you fight near the beginning. No easy way to take them out without a lot of ammo.

I must go back and finish the Ada levels. It was only playing them that the plot starts to resemble something that makes sense.

I get the feeling I should have started with Leon but wanted to get the worst part out of the way first. Not sure what the hell is happening or why I'm in China.
