An uprising sounds plausible. They deliberately got themselves captured so they could set up outposts throughout Earth's major human cities. What's worse is that ladder building is only a few technological steps away from muskets. I can only hope the zoo keepers are smart enough to avoid giving them access to propellants.

I have an alarm on my phone that makes me solve puzzles before it shuts up...

You have to solve a bunch maths questions (like, (15 + 27) x 3, or whatever)
You have to repeat the pattern of coloured tiles that the phone shows you
You have to solve a puzzle with sliding tiles
You have to play a game of memory
At the end it gets you to scan a barcode, so you have to get out of bed!

There's another alarm that makes you shake the crap out of your phone to defeat a monster. If you do not shake hard enough, the monster will eat you. That wakes you up....

For the most part Twitter is full of crap (and as a medium for conversation/interaction it's awful) but it does produce the odd pleasant surprise. Been following WW2 Tweets from 1940 for a day or two and I'm quite fond of it already.

As registration begins, Rabbi Moshe Hagermann has been ordered to pray, barefoot, for amusement of German soldiers.

It's cool for little titbits like those jibes against Churchill, the slightly trivial stuff you might not have seen in the textbooks, documentaries, etc.

And no wonder he wasn't featured in the Olympics opening ceremony :P
