And about 15,000 are me :P jokes aside, I've been reading through everyones ups and downs here now for a while. we're looking into getting somewhere with a bit of land, not much though as we'd be newbies to it all. My heart goes out to both farmers and animals alike with the weather we're having.

Hello to everyone by the way, you're a great bunch. I wonder how Kev got on :D I'll go back to my spying for now pacman.gif

Dont mind your spying, Come in a sit by the fire let you, will you have tea and a few digestives :D

did anyone see that poor man in antrim where he was getting out of sheep .. weight of the snow collasped his lambing shed roof and ewes all out and most lost?

Some contrast to the dry, hard cold weather that we are currently enjoying in the west.

im loving this dry weather..cows and calves away to grass full time last week or so , also had heifers up on reseeded field today.. fed them silage lastnight at opposite end of field and had paddock set up, electric fence on and gate open other end .. so when they wandered up for water this morning they had pleasant surprise :)

Its unbelievable , its only a few miles seperating areas that are under 10ft snow drifts and other places that have no covering what so ever

its too cold to send them out, todays plan is to tidy their rooms, should go down well:rolleyes:

I've explained to mine that the new emergency rules on baler twine stacking require it all to be the same length, hung up neatly in the barn, with the minimum of twists.

And that any loose twine or plastic found around the yard after Easter may get them into trouble with the DVO pony inspectors.

Seems to have them outside working.

    Here's one for ye!
We are having our Christmas dinner on Sunday (long story), at least the weather is seasonal. My problem, I was supposed to take turkey from freezer this morning but you guessed I forgot and took from his frozen tomb at 8pm. It's 8 kilos, will it be thawed in time or sould I take out a leg of lamb instead and perhaps look for alternative accomodation?
