Being over there several times. Lovely country and nice people. Quiet until they get a drink and then they are all dying to speak English. The women are lovely.

Helsinki and then on to Tampere to visit my brother. Been there before and it was -27. If you were ever in Tampere you would know the big hill on the old side with the giant screen with the temperature on it. I hated that screen.....

But saunas. Oh they should become a thing here!

And I agree, Bob they are bloody gorgeous. Men and women!

a turkey is supposed to be defrosted slowly, i think realistically you will be having turkey on easter monday, you better head out to tesco for some lamb, they have 40% off at the minute, just going there now

Whelan I am surprised u buy meat in Tesco. Thought u would only buy neat from local butcher or u would have killed one of those lambs u had eating all the winter grass.

Why did I go down the DIY camera route. It has my heart broke trying to get it set up. Still can't see it remotely. At this rate my sheep will be finished lambing before I get it going.
Should have spent the extra money and gone the agri camera route.

If you have a power washer, a jetter can be got from the guys in the link below. Costs about 75 euro. Will jet any pipe from 2 inch to 9 inches. It will wash through any silt and it will flow out the end. It can be screwed to the to end of the powerwasher pipe. It's a great job.

Yes, the jet of water from the jet propells itself forward, you just feed the pipe in - it almost pulls it in itself. No problem with natural bends - well it won't go around a 90 degree bend, but you're not likely to have one of those on a land drain. Are you?

Spent most of the day trying to hang a gate for the FIL. He ordered a gate and it was delivered during the week. But when I went to put it up, it was a 13ft instead of an 11ft. Had to bring it back and get an 11ft. He will be getting a measuring tape for his birthday.

Then tried to drill the concrete pillar for the hangars, Turns out that it has steel plate in the base of it from when it was shuttered and then plastered. - got it drilled an inch and no more with a cordless. Have to hire generator next weekend to bore it with the electric drill. Pain in the ass day.

The roll in the snow bit do you do it alone or have you company,Dont forget to post pics of the breeding stock so we can judge their pedigree.

Dont know why youre all so afraid of SWMBO all i got was a polite telling off, although when there was no reply for so long i was getting a little afraid that she was waiting in the shadows to get mee and i have to go out a check on calvers later

lads and lassies i have a cow struggling to get up shes pulling herself up and down the loose shed before she actually just about gets up. I gave her a bottle of calcium today and the vet said give another one tomorrow he also gave me an injection to induce her. shes 273 days in calf and she has no spring in her elder yet what do use thing should i induce her?
Is she far enough gone yet to induce her she would normally carry to about 288 days? and if i do induce her will she come to her milk?

shes getting silage and nuts would she be better with hay? i wouldn't think theres twins in her she hurt her leg around calving last year and it must not have healed as I thought she had. Do you think 273 days is to soon should I try and hold on until 280 plus days? I know that if she calves she will be fine on her feet again

Limo 100 try asking your question on F4F or some other farming forum cant you see were busy here. :D:D:D

I'D induce her if you think you might lose her if she doesnt get up, she has a far better chance of getting up without the calf inside her.
I had an old cow like that this year and she came right a few days after calving

As above if she is down for a week or two before she calves she may never get up. Calf will be fine at 273 days. You might want to get a couple of bottles of biestings from a dairy farmer.
