Weird. Way more snow in your part of Swords than mine. :)

Ridgewood, the airport was even heavier.

00:29 and the thaw is on in Dublin 4.

Time for bed me thinks. When temps are marginal like this the city centre usually only gets cars and roof tops.

I thought the round temps here would drop to -2/-3. Perhaps later a hard frost will set in. But there is still a moderate on shore breeze, so my patch of Ireland is not likely to see lying snow or iced roads. Probably for the better too.

I light covering in my part of Naas. The cars got a little dusting so far.

I was so busy midnight coding that I missed the snow shower!!! (D7)

Bad picture because it's night but basically there's a few centimetres on the grass and cars, light dusting on my driveway. Melting on paths and roads are very wet!

i'm about a 4 minute walk from you and there is less than 1cm standing snow. Nothing happening here at the moment, anything on the concrete has melted.

Dublin 15....2 metres and drifting.....power gone, supplies running out fast.....send help from Carlow that has been spared ;-)

Actually we have about 2cms lying with constant light snowfall and a vague melt around the edges. Id rather this kept up than cleared as a hard freeze now would be lethal, slow thaw better for us early morning drivers.

I really don't know what it's used for but it's some sort of manikin to scare off birds of prey or something, as the neighbour has birdhouses and pigeon holes. Find it odd myself now :pac:

Been coming down here in Lusk slow and steady for the past hour or so.
Looking at the radar the next few showers look heavier. Heres hoping.

Met.ie shows a lot of rain over dublin, but the webcams don't seem to show any. The roads all seem to be clear of any snow.

can't go outside to check conditons due to alarm tech in house but when i peek out the window everything is glistening white, looks to be a good sign.:) Will propably be all melted by the time I eventually rise out of bed tomorrow!

rain? the only thing that's fallen out of the sky here since Monday has been snow, very weird for late March I know!

surprised there aren't more people on here lamp-posting but there looks to be a whopper of a snow shower in the direction of South Louth, Meath and Dublin approaching in the next hour.Ive had it now tho due to tiredness.

Was complaining that the first time I've left the country in months and I missed the snow. Not so. Arrived home at midnight to the most glorious snow bucketing down in Dublin airport. Heaven. It's 0 degrees so expect it will rise and most of it will be melted when I wake up but what a great welcome home.

yup, despite a god awful winter we've had enough dustings and mini snow blizzards to tie us over till next November, roll on spanish plumes:)

Not a flake in sight here in east meath. Been lamp post watching all night :-(

Been coming down lightly in Ballsbridge for the last 10 mins.. starting to get a little heavier.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,801 ✭✭✭Ruudi_Mentari

That breeze is still carrying stuff in. If the sky turns even slight red, a flake might float by so the potential seems at its most

actually there is more like constantly something of the two in the air.. already had a few dense flurries tonight, in accordance with the cloud. @ crumlin hospital
