No NCT but a quick look see would tell alot, pre 93s are a walk in the park to get past an emissions test :)

If the NCT doesn't require too much?
Looks brilliant! Even in green!

Just to clarify, I have no doubt the Mondeo (as a model not the specific one dgt linked to as I reckon it's probably in bits) is a better car than an Accent, that's irrefutable :) I drove a diesel Mondeo for a year and drive an Accent occasionally so am very familiar with both. As a bangernomics proposition the Accents I linked to are better than the Mondeo for so many people, the odd lunatic might find a 2002 Mondeo with €400 of tax advertised for a grand a good idea but I imagine they'd regret it come NCT time if indeed it go that far as is :)

What I think is silly is making presumptions on how well off people are or otherwise based on the car they drive, plenty do that so you're not alone :)

Some people think Levins are a wannabe scumbag wagon, stereotypes and narrow minds etc etc ;)

running an Accent costs about as much as a Levin too so you can just about afford to drive by your own logic.

It might be silly but it's still hard not to do.

Well unfortunately a Levin is a more expensive car to drive than an Accent, and you are right I am borderline unable to afford to drive.

And while we are at it lets not beat about the bush, only the scum of the earth drive Levins:pac::pac:

Buy it, drive it and sell it for what you bought it!
Extremely tidy! Cleanest here in a while I'd say.

Am I having a stupid moment here, or what am I missing?
Has been off the road for 5 years. Passed NCT on May 26th 2011.

If it was NCT'd in May 2011 though, would it not have any NCT?

I NCT'd a 12 year old car in May 2011 and the test is still valid until the end of September 2013 :)

NCT and tax for a year and both expiring 02/14, it's a PSV, tax is next to worthless, drive that around as a private car and you could find yourself in the height of sh1t, ignorance is no defence.

Well are you seriously reckoning someone would see a car with a years test and €600 ish of tax for €900 or whatever the asking price is?

Most yokes (of the 6+ years old variety) with NCT and tax expiring at the same time are PSVs ;) Common knowledge isn't all that common admittedly.

I got very little from the picture, if that's not a PSV I'd be amazed :)

Ad the fact that's its an auto 1.8 to the above and it would be a miracle if its not psv'd..

3 months tax off the price would make it better
    nice car, dunno how reliable,
did they even come in a 2.0 diesel

To plate a car it needs to be NCTd as a PSV, it also needs to be taxed as a PSV, these events happen to get the car on the road as a PSV, NCT and tax expiring same time and 99.74% of the time it's a PSV imo if it's an ole yoke :pac:

79.13% of all statistics are made up on the spot :p

Agreed with the PSV tax though. If that yoke has normal tax, I'll eat my hat :D

Yeah. Slow, slow, slow. Only 100BHP. I'd avoid tbh, but might be fine for slow folk (90% of drivers :D)
