I wasn't talking about you dude - more the people who think that putting a photo online is some sort of "proof" or the fans from both sides who abuse the freedom of information act.
That's inevitable really.celtic fan says "look at where we are, your lot are pish" rangers fan says"how come more watch us then" Celtic fan thinks its funny to prove him wrong.
    Harmless crap.

I'm more interested from a business point of view, how worthwhile is it to hand out extra free tickets (if that's whats happening).

Are they thinking that extra bum on a seat might buy some merchendise? Or does full houses help the share price? Or is it simply a case of my d!ck is bigger than yours.

Yeah, but i highly doubt we actually are.
As said, every club hands out comps - and the number varies from match to match for various reasons. You'll find there are more comps available for Celtic V Ross County for example, than Celtic V Aberdeen.

Of course getting someone through the gate is better than having an empty seat - that's fairly simple, but i don't think there is some sort of "lets hand out lots of freebies to boost attendance conspiracy" going on.

    Edit 1-2 now.

Simply not happening any more than it did before all the nonsense started.

Exactly, there's every game a few hundred or so tickets handed out to companies, schools,...

Nothing wrong with that, in fact I think it's good.

As for this game: Worst I've seen us play all season, absolutely woeful.

It wouldn't be a conspiracy, simply a business strategy. Happens in lots of businesses but its a lot lot more complicated than the things we mentioned , just wondering out loud would it work for ye.

(Looking at greens history he doesn't seem to have ever had people around him capable of this type of model so I doubt that's what's happening)

    Overvalued ... Ibrox
    Exclusive
    By MARK HOWARTH

RANGERS have scored another major tax victory — after getting millions knocked off their rates bills.
Furious Light Blues chiefs had claimed assessors had overvalued Ibrox by nearly 100 per cent.
Now the club — which recently won a £36.6million battle with HMRC over the use of Employee Benefit Trusts — have had the stadium’s rateable value cut from £1,916,000 to £1,000,000.
It could mean a saving of over £400,000 a year. And using current figures, it would see Rangers save between £2million and £2.5million by 2017.
But Celtic will have thousands ADDED to the bill for their Lennoxtown training ground after they appealed and it was reevaluated UP.

Perfect saving ... football finance expert Neil Patey
Last night football finance expert Neil Patey, right, of corporate accountants Ernst and Young, said: “Not so long ago, £10,000 here and £10,000 there was chicken feed to a lot of clubs. But those days are now long gone.
“This sort of saving of £400,000-plus a year on the rates bill is perfect for bringing down the club’s losses.”
Rates are paid to councils but the amount owed depends on how much inspectors think a premises could be rented out for — its Rateable Value. A stack of SPL and SFL clubs appealed their rates because business premises were revalued in 2008 before property prices crashed.
After Rangers won their appeal last month, the rates bill for this year plummeted from £877,528 to £458,000 — a saving of £419,528. But Glasgow City Council may seek to hike Ibrox’s RV in the future as the club moves up the leagues, which would cut the final total windfall.
Celtic had complained the figure of £389,000 for Lennoxtown in East Dunbartonshire was too high. But that was upped to £398,000 — adding £4,000 a year to the Bhoys’ bill. A spokesman for the Glasgow City Assessor confirmed: “We agreed to carry out a new assessment at Rangers.”
A Rangers spokesman said: “Following an appeal, the rateable value was reduced which will enable the club to make significant savings in the foreseeable future.” Celtic refused to comment.

Makes a change from the previous owners who just signed any bill without looking at it.

Rangers star duped into admitting he's only at Ibrox 'for the money' in astonishing 23-minute phonecall to prankster Glasgow cabbie (who just happens to be a Celtic fan!)

Wait, Sandaza is in it for the money ?
    Hold the presses.

But no, Celtic fans aren't obsessed with Rangers. :pac:

'Prankster named Tommy' is a nutjob who thinks the Masons are out to get him.

"Tommy" is a scumball, plain and simple, who thinks it's ok to **** with someone's career and put them at risk of losing their job.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 439 ✭✭Lonesome Boatman

Think he will get his balls booted for that. Imagine falling for that. What an idiot.

Also his contact details are interesting. On 2500 a week now? it goes up each year, the last year its 10 500.

Unless you make it to the SPL in successive seasons how can that be sustainable? Also he said Green is open to offers on any players.

In other news, hopefully one or two other liars will be looking over their shoulders now that the cops are looking into the HMRC leaks.

The Anonymous Blogger and Phillip may have been wrong on numerous levels, but the effect they had on Rangers is plain for all to see.

Aye thats it, blame everyone else for what happened to your club.

I'd say its dependent on promotion and i'm sure he will get his balls booted, but at the same time "Tommy" was looking for far more than Sandaza's contract details and he didn't get any of it.

    Here.We.Go.Again.

Are you telling me that the blatant lies told on The Anonymous Blogger and Phillip's websites about the "open and shut" cases and suchlike didn't have an effect on the media reporting, and in turn the buyout?

It opened the door for scumbag Whyte to finish the job that Murray was doing and ruin our club.

They may not have been the be all and end all, but they had their role to play in the whole thing.
****ing cowards, the pair of them.

everything about Craig Whyte was in the public domain (on the internet) while the succulent lamb brigade, were calling Craig Whyte a billionare with wealth off the radar. On Celtic websites Whyte was exposed as soon as he came on the scene. But the Rangers fans buried their head in the sand. If they listened to us, or even thunk for themselves, you could of got rid of Whyte and saved your club. But you swallowed the Scottish medias lies.

its now came out Jim Traynor was running articles by Whyte before they were printed, emails were leaked. Succulent lamb journalism.

Surely 99% of the blame sits with the two in bold and not anonymous bloggers?

You're quite obviously missing the point, again.
Whyte was a liar and a criminal, however he would never have been there if A) Murray hadn't panicked under the weight of the hysteria surrounding how much money Rangers were going to owe to HMRC and suchlike.
    B) Buyers had not been put off by these leaks which stated quite clearly that there was no way HMRC could lose the case.

    See my last post.

Of course those two are to blame, however there is massive issues arising from the two bloggers in question (Only one of whom is anonymous) and the way they manipulated the case, and the media involved with it.

In other news, Jimmy Calderwood is on record as saying David Murray appointed him Dunfermline manager. That's right Murray was controlling other clubs.

His pal Masterton who has left Dunfermline on the brink of liquidation allowed Murray to run up 800 million pound worth of loans with his funny hand shake banking when he was involved with the Bank of Scotland.

    Corrupt or what.

That's what being a Mason gets you: Control over everything.

    Are you Mad Tommy ?
