Talk about blowing it completely out of proportion.

But tbh If you're stupid enough to give out that kind of information on the phone to someone you don't know, about your employer, then you deserve no sympathy.

Ahhh, just a bit of craic from a lovable rogue.

    Some thing's never change.

I've only heard him prank Craig Whyte and Willie Frazer. I'm not sure why you'd bother listening in tbh, it's obvious you're not going to like it.

Heard the Craig White one, but didn't know he did one with Frazer. Would love to hear it, send me a link if you can! :)

"A good for nothing scumbag"? It was a prank call ffs. It's not his fault that these people are naive.
As a poster said above, the call wasn't even that bad.

Ask Ewen Cameron from Real Radio if prank calls are all he does.

Right now, I don't have time to listen to the interview - I can only go on what is being reported within the ranks of Celtic related blogs.
You're not exactly offering me anything more enlightening either.

Murray reccomended a manager to a friend, and put in a good word for him.
    Big deal.

    Sutton wasn't right.

That seems a quite extraordinary way to keep up to date, considering

Not really, when you actually consider it.

Boatman posted something which i had not heard about, or seen reported anywhere.
A quick google search for the key points, Murray, Masterton, Calderwood and Cowan threw up a bunch of Celtic Blogs, Twitter Feeds and the Pie and Bovril forum.

I wasn't in a position where i was willing or able to listen to Off The Ball, and none of the mainstream media have seen fit to report this nonsense. (Of course, I'm sure someone will use that as proof of a wide ranging masonic conspiracy).
So all I had to go on was the Celtic related blogs i outlined, and what Boatman was telling me.

That make enough sense for you?

    yep.

Google search for me threw up only 2 celtic related sites on first page.

Anyway do you dispute what he said? The direct quotes i mean, not the spin being put on it by celtic sites.

I listed the sites that google threw up for me. ;)

No, he said that Murray phoned him with regards to the Dunfermline job.
I entirely believe that could have been the case.

We know Murray and Masterton had ties and it's perfectly believable that one would have recommended someone to the other and it went from there.

It's a non-story with regards to anything else tbh.

What do ye make of Mc Coist following Green and looking for preferential treatment. I can understand the frustration at not moving up a level after winning the title but this would be totally unfair or would it?

    From The Scotsman...

Ally McCoist believes the acceleration of Rangers through the Scottish league set-up could be to the “benefit” of financially-stricken clubs.

The Ibrox manager joined chief executive Charles Green this week in calling for Rangers to leapfrog the majority of current Irn-Bru Second Division sides – if league reconstruction goes ahead – and be placed in the second level under the proposed 12-12-18 set-up.

Rangers are on their way to winning the Third Division and both men feel that under the proposals the club would not be promoted in the event, given that they would be joined in the third tier by every other side in the bottom league.

McCoist also believes awarding his side a double promotion could bring some much needed money to opposition clubs.

“Scottish football is in a sorry state right now so we have to do what’s best for the benefit of the game,” said the manager. “Dunfermline are clearly in trouble just now, Hearts have troubles too and we have obviously had our well-documented problems so we must do something that is mutually beneficial to Scottish football. If moving us into the second 12 means that there will be such a benefit then surely it has to happen.”

McCoist believes a precedent was set by Stranraer in the 1993/94 season. The Scottish leagues were to be expanded to four divisions in the following season, with the Stair Park side winning the third-tier title. Stranraer, as champions, moved up one level to the new second tier, with five clubs being relegated as the First Division contracted from 12 teams to ten.

“I really feel that the precedent set by the Stranraer situation in 1994 should be followed,” he said. “We are in a position where we are close to winning the championship and hopefully promotion. In our eyes, if 12-12-18 is implemented and we are in the 18 then I don’t see us getting promotion. The argument would be that we would in the third tier but I don’t buy that because every other team in the league would be getting promotion with us. I don’t think that is fair – especially when a precedent has been set.”

However, Stranraer vice-chairman Iain Dougan said: “We don’t feel it is the same situation as [in 1993/94]. We were expanding the leagues from three to four divisions, this time we’re slimming the leagues. It is not the same scenario.”

Why would anyone listen to what either of those two self serving idiots think? They dont have a vote and its obvious that everything they say is motivated by the £7m per annum black hole in their budget.

" “benefit” of financially-stricken clubs", LOL

It's only natural they are going to say they want this for Green it's a business decision and for Ally a football one. To be fair the whole thing is a shambles and if the stories are true that there is no TV deal in place it will be even worse. The question has to be asked of those who say they are the ones who were responsible for the tv talks why they won't pass this information onto the SFL

I've no problem with that, its the it will benefit everyone else propaganda that makes everyone else following Scottish Football go

In other news, poor Franny Sandaza is suspended pending an IQ test investigation! Wouldnt surprise me if Green is using the opportunity to see if he can terminate the players contract. I've no sympathy for the player because he already had an agent before you ask.

Well yes of course but is it not a bit cringe inducing? Wanting to leap frog other clubs etc?

    Cringe inducing?
Not really, they're entirely entitled to their opinions.

For the record, I don't believe they are correct in those opinions, we should be just getting our heads down and playing - however any pressure that people put on the dimwits running our game is ok by me.

    Rangers v Stirling Albion

RANGERS: Alexander; Hegarty, McCulloch, Cribari, Wallace; Faure; McKay, Crawford, Hutton, Aird; Hemmings.
Subs: Gallacher, Argyriou, Murdoch, Naismith, Mitchell.

Lots of changes today with Little away on International duty a couple of suspensions and some injuries mean its a youngish team and a first start for Kane Hemmings

Nobody is forcing you to read their interviews.

As for the game, the banner in BF1 says it all: Less time tweeting, more time training.

First time I watched any Rangers this season. Thought they had the better chances but were pretty poor overall, especially at home. Alexander, Wallace and Elbows were the only players I knew.

Have they been like that much of the season? Was hard to tell the difference between the two teams in terms of quality for large parts of the game tbh.

Do you think you'll be able to get some new players in to improve things? In fairness it looks to be a young side.

There have rarely been very good games this season, Motherwell probably jumps out as the exception.

But lately it seems to be getting worse every week.
McCoist and his 'tactics' are killing any feel good factor that was around the club when the season started, attendances are going down because it's absolutely **** to watch us atm.

If you watch it in say highlights not a gif you see the number five move to block him. And to be honest I expect retrospective action to be taken against the number five for a forearm into the face of McKay earlier in the game

Id imagine McCulloch is more likely to have action taken against him after trying to elbow the number 5 as he was doubling over laughing at him.

And rightly so he just doesn't have it as a manager. He will always be a legend as a player but as a manager nah
