    Well, hope they get rid of it from Wasteland. DayZ, meh, part of the storyline, but don't see the point of it in Wastelands.

    Yep you can hunt rabbits, boar, cows, goats and sheep (might have missed one or two). You need a hunting knife to gut them for meat, then you need a hatchet to get wood and matches to start a fire.

    You can use static fires to cook food, like the on in the Cherno construction site.

    You can also eat the raw meat if you can't cook it,but you increase your chances of getting an infection.

    Was on an dayz i44 server and we found a Panther tank, BUT it seems it was hacked in and the idiotic server admin thought we were the hackers even though we backed it up with other players who we killed to get a hold of it at Polana an we ended up getting banned. Quite a few hackers on i44 dayz its not so good....

    Played a good bit on it & haven't seen any hackers yet. I play on BMRF servers though

    Curently on a great server, filter Open Fire for it. Its Chernarus and Only up a day and its already a hit!
    Edit: just was messing around on my own on it , ended up at nwaf and found a barracks with a m16 acog, suddenly a huey comes out of no where firing at me. As instinct i fing cover and the noob pilot goes into auto hover for the gunners to get me, so i peep out and kill 1 gunner. I escape to lopatino weaving through trees and bushes at the same time coaxing the pilot to come at me again in side chat, he goes in autohover over town, 2nd gunner shot at and bleeding, they land near me in a field and bandage and power down heli for some special reason. both guys killed and a heli for me now :D

    They sound like pros. Be careful out there.

    i played dayz for the first time in 3 months last night, i had forgotten how funny it was..Great laugh in electro last night on the server simon recommended..
    I think i was there when you had just taken the chopper, whats your in game name?

    Can someone explain why people still get pissed when you shoot them, i would have imagined that people would be ok with it by now...
    oh and its nice to start off with a pistol again, i like that..

    Haven't played in ages but going to give it a go later today, I used to use Arma Launcher and update manually, what's the latest version I should be looking for and will I just use one of the other launchers?

    Because i'd say over 60% of the DayZ community are a bunch of care bear's now, that want to play the game like their hero "harkeronpc". They all want to make friends and drive around in party buses. They are usually low skill players that love to hate bandits.

    I always ask what the hell is the point of the game if your not going to shoot other players. They usually respond with, shoot zombies, exploring, making friends etc. Zombies are pointless, they don't offer a threat. You can explore all you like but still kill people & i prefer to play with people I know on TeamSpeak.

    The game would be pointless without guys like us that offer a threat to these people.

    People spawn-camp for a laugh though, I'm all for killing new players like myself, but is it too much to ask that we get spawned in a remote village or something, I mean it's not fun or 'just part of the game' if you're killed 10 minutes in every time (hasn't happened to me...yet).

    I don't ever spawn kill as I think its a dick thing to do. If a guy is clearly unarmed I will let him go. I do understand it is a pain in the arse, has happened to me a lot too. But it is part of the game, nothing should be easy in the game.

    Do what I do, if a guy is camping a spawn town & kills you just re spawn until get the same place again & sneak up on him & kill him. Easy :)
