Or we could have Slave Labour Camp Day or Let the Priests Rape Our Kids While We Turn a Blind Eye Day.

FF, FG and Labour could all get together and be all nostalgic at letting the RC Church terrorists run amok.

Are you referring to the SF TD who has a major question mark over his finances, and whether or not he was a member of an illegal organisation.

I don't think the Taoiseach has anything to fear from a bunch of rabble rousers with no policies, other than their proposal for a Bank Holiday.

Sure, the Taoiseach knows all about ignoring TD's with financial difficulties.
Maybe Enda could re-instate Section 31 himself instead of waiting for the British to ask him if there is a problem with Gerry having been a member of a defunct organisation.

What a load of rubbish. Ok, fine, take up arms against an army who are treating you like sh*t. I understand that.

But, they attacked innocent people. They attacked their own people who had nothing to do with "foreign armed force were walking up and down my street".

That alone defeats any argument they had over a struggle to rid themselves of an enemy.

I know I'm wasting my time saying this because arguing with someone who defends the IRA is like rowing a boat one handed.

They were nothing short of the worst kind of scum there is.

If you expect people to believe you were born in the 60's or 70's that's fine. But you are arguing your points like a 15 year old.

And i see your one of the fookers who chose to fly off to the other side of the planet to work down some hole in the ground . Good luck with that .

They'll be gotten by their own hypocrisy. It's happening already, watch Enda when he is under pressure from an elected SF TD in our Dail. He knows the game is up, the real republicans are inside the door.

Go away and write another book Gerry, I'm sure Aengus could print it for you.

Curious the way you say "elected". Why do you feel the need to use the term "elected"? We could do a whole conference on you. :D

Why don't they just make the National day of Remembrance a public holiday? They 24th of April is too close to the May Bank holiday, the day of remembrance is smack bang in the middle of summer. Plus it commemorates all those of served in the armed forces already, they could extend it to those who fought for Irish freedom.

Because they are 'elected' and Enda needs to remember that. 'Elected' meaning you are there because you have a mandate, just like once upon not very long ago members of FG and FF sat in the Dail with blood on their hands too.

"Elected TD" makes the Shinners feel superior to all the other TDs:D.

Bit of one upmanship , like it is a popularity contest.

    Very strange.................:D

all TD's are elected, even those who don't achieve the quota.

you make Sinn Fein TD's sound superior to all other TD's, as if they're worth more, not very republican of you.

There are just 14 Sinn Fein TD's in this Dail, but they each have the same rights as every other elected TD.

Given the drunken carnage you see on the streets at St. Patrick's Day, I suppose Provo Day couldn't be that much more violent.

The yanks have a holiday to celebrate their independance and are fiercly proud of what their forefathers fought for. Some people seem to despise the people who died for freedom here for some strange reason.

It's easy for people with a West Brit way of thinking to criticize the people who fought in 1916 and in The War of Independance but I think we should have a holiday to honour them.

The prodestants have a holiday to honour Billy Orange so why shouldnt we?

I used the term 'elected' deliberately, because Enda forgets that all the time and refuses to engage in adult debate on issues SF where mandated to represent on. But Enda of course, like all partitionists, doesn't recognise all the people of this country and their various aspirations, except of course when he is spouting his peace and reconciliation pseudo statesman guff for the benefit of the British and the world press.
But engage in Dail? No he resorts to juvenile taunts and regneges on the GFA when he does. Why, because he has no answer to give to proper republicans who would put the people first.
That is why the notion of a Republic Day has the partitionists in a hysterical tissy, FG/FF don't wnat any reflection on the notion of a Republic and who might deliver it.

Maybe we could arrange a royal wedding or a birth or somehing and all those who don't want to go can have the day off and stay at home and watch it on the telly? :D

They'd probably pull a sickie anyway, couldn't be missing that!
