Nexus 4 ordering process

I like HTC but I don't like the lack of updates the phones tend to get, especially the midrange phones which seem to get almost completely abandoned very quickly in favour of the next phone release.

Exactly. I love the design of my phone. It feels awesome in hand. But they have abandoned it. Plus Sense 3.6 is bloaty compared to the older version. Sensation should have got Sense 4.0 and Jellybean but nope. Luckily for me i didn't pay for the phone. It was my brother's who couldn't cop Android (coming from iOS). So I swapped my iPhone 4 with him for it. Easier for him to use and the Sensation helps me with my Android dev module in college.

Ordered Saturday, changed from preordered to Shippng Estimate of 21st of Feb on the play store and from order sent to google to order received by google in google wallet today.

Might be good for people who have been successful with getting there phones shipped to explain the process they went through so others might have a go...

I've managed to get a friend in the north to order 1 for me today going to his home address and I've just forwarded him on the money... 2-3 weeks wait time but hopefully arrives a bit earlier..

What was your card and delivery address setup if I might ask, since a few people are having difficulty with the getting Google to accept.

Also, I hate you. I sent in the order on Friday and I'm still waiting for confirmation.

Edit: Thursday even.

Last attempt for me, tried twice with a visa debit without any luck and the support team still doesn't have an update. Going to try a credit card instead.

Really hoping they don't cancel.
It says google commerce has received my order and I have an estimated delivery date of 13th Feb.
If they were to go ahead , what was the estimated delivery times of people that got a shipping email?

What u reckon on chances?

Before you chance it get your credit card company to add the pm as an alternate delivery address hopefully you get sorted...

Done and done, if the third time isn't the charm it won't be a bank problem anyway.

Very good since you have an estimated delivery date, I haven't heard of anyone getting cancelled at that point.

Very good since you have an estimated delivery date, I haven't heard of anyone getting cancelled at that point.

I put the PM address as my billing address and still waiting for a confirmation. Annoying as they will cancel but I cant't order again until they do

I changed my country to the UK within my gmail settings, its been Irish since I set it up around 9 years ago. Added a payment method to my Google Wallet, Ulster Bank Visa Debit card, address Parcel Motel in NI. Didn't change any details with my bank. Used a UK VPN to order, didn't put my correct address anywhere, just the Parcel Motel. Got a dispatch notice this evening.

Just thought I'd let you guys know how I ordered.
1: I changed the address of my Visa Debit card in Google Wallet to the parcel motel address i was given.
2: I loaded up Tunnel Bear to access the UK play store.
3: Purchased the 16 GB nexus 4. My card was originally grayed out so i just added the same card again with the parcel motel address.
4: Got my order receipt straight away and checked Google wallet where it said that my order has been sent to Google and also that they had received my order.
5: I ordered at 1 am this morning and my shipping date was listed as Feb 21st. About 20 minutes ago I got an email stating that my order has been shipped!
6: The UTI tracking number doesn't work though and my account has not been charged yet but hopefully everything's good.

The number didnt work for about a day after it shipped for me

Are you saying you had the PM address as your billing address?

Used a Ulster Bank Visa Debit Card, Billing Address was my home address with Parcel Motel Postcode.

Shipping Address was the Parcel Motel Address with my Irish Phone Number.

Used my Gmail account that ive had for a few years.

To be honest I think it's just luck really, been reading on HUKD that people who have ordered after others are getting them first, its not being done on a first come first served basis.
