The daughter was missing for 31 days before the mother reported it. In that time she was out partying and working. Giving excuses about where her daughter was to her parents.

She gave misleading information to the police numerous times, was found not guilty of murder, after the remains were found in a blanket near their house.

I guess whoever made that thought she was innocent. It was a huge case in America.

There was a huge backlash against the not guilty verdict

Yeah, America wanted blood. She was on for getting the death penalty at one stage if she was found guilty.

I always thought she was guilty, apparently I was wrong.

My assumption was that whoever made it isn't very bright and grabbed the first image they could find when they Googled "Mother crying" or whatever.

Maybe, but I'm sure there was better ones there than that. Casey Anthony was back in court recently, so I'm assuming that's why the photo and status were created. Someone somewhere showing support for her and people thinking it was just a generic 'mothers are great' status.
